Did the US do the right thing?

Recently, I watched a memorial for those of the holocaust. However, I just felt like interrupting it at halfway because they were blaming the US (at first) for not housing craploads of refugees in the US

Let's back up a little bit..

1915-1917 the Armenian Genocide hundreds of thousands were killed (I believe like 1.8m right?) Thousands of Armenians realized the danger and skipped town for the US/other countries, sharing their story of the hate that was projected toward them in Armenia.

Now if these people are telling an incredibly horrified story I would have remained neutral in the war (For awhile) atleast and really thought about what to do...

Later the US/allies invaded the concentration camps and the holocaust presentations still complain about the US not helping earlier.

Also, I like how there's so much recognition for the holocaust, even know years before the Armenian Genocide almost passed unnoticed except for the Armenians leaving Turkey/Armenia and some of the people (Thank god for the president saying SOMEThing about it)

If people had payed attention to what had happened 20 years~ before would we have had the same problem and had 5000 synagogues across the country complaining? Probably not.
