Do you honestly care about Haiti?

But does anyone honestly care about what happened in Haiti?
Have you gone out of your way to help?

 

80 % of the population were in poverty before the earthquake. Can you believe what kind of state they are in now? It would be ignorant not to care. Whenever I get money I will be donating but I am sick of these people saying \"Pray for Haiti\". Like what the fuck is praying going to do? They should get up and do something about it and try and make a difference.

 

Haiti buildings were mainly shacks and concrete which = fail.

Those people are fucking miserable over there on a good day. Maybe the OP should come down off his high horse and live in hell for a day or two.

The least you can do is donate, half of what you pay for world of warcraft, doesn't that seem to make sence?

Truthfully, in one word: no. They have nothing to do with me. I believe I just stole Volvic's "Douch bag of the day" award. I save empathy for those whom I care about. Despite their lack of wealth, I think of the residents of Haiti much like I think any other stranger; they're just other people who have no impact upon me.

A lot of others feel the same way not only about haiti but about most countries around the world.

 

It's not that people don't care. It's that many people don't care enough to do anything about it.

At least he is being honest. 95% of the people who will post and say they care about the people in haiti are full of shit, and will do absolutely NOTHING to help, while flaming those who at least have enough balls to admit that they are apathetic.

 

honestly, i dont give a sht.. never even heard of the country before why should we all care about it all sudden since they had a natural disaster.. IT HAPPENS.

 

I don't care at all really, Just like I don't care about poor people in Africa. I have my own problems here.

 

No not really. None of my business. I'll leave it to the 6.5 billion other humans.

 

I care. I sent a 1 hour salary to the Red Cross earlier, and Im doing it for Doctors without boarders tomorrow. Its just a few pennys for me but It'll supply fresh water and food rations for a dozen of people for several days.

I guess wether people care or not defines them as humans.

To a Extent. Were America they are Haiti. Compare size and economical importance.

 

I don't really care at all, and I definitley won't be donating anything to line the pockets of the corrupt government and machete wielding mobs.

 

Care? Probably. But would we need the money? No. We usually take care of ourselves in situations like that because of our money and power.

And swan, saying that is saying you only care about people you know. Why is that? What did they do to earn your support? Surely these people are worthy of it. I donated...

And Finn just because the government is corrupt doesn't mean the civilians are bad people, or deserve to suffer for it.
