Most successful type of rushing (90+ CBA)

Title says it. I have tried a few different kinds of rushing and I have found some to be better than others. Lets say these are the circumstances:

-You are level 105 Combat.
-Your opponent is your combat level with 65 defence, full rune, obsidian shield and cape.

**Claw Rush**
This is what I am usually looking at when I go rushing. My problem is, even with turmoil full void/torso+fire cape, claws rarely hit high enough on both specs to kill them. By using vengeance I am able to avoid having them pray melee, but they are usually able to eat once or sometimes shark/brew. This gives the enemy over 1150 HP that I need to take down. Most of the time I can get one claw hit that does over 600 damage, but the other one does around 400. If I use ring of dueling method to get rid of my skull. I usually get two or three kills an hour. I think another reason this method of rushing is becoming less successful is because it is always expected. When claws first came out I would panic (as would others) when I got claw rushed, causing me to misclick and die more than I should. Now I simply shark brew or tele tab, and I noticed others do the same.

**Hand Cannon Rush**
This is one of the styles of rushing I would like to try. However, with my range level being on 85, I dont know if its worth spending a few mil on chins/ppots. What I have seen with this type of rushing is the speed is similar to a claw rush. The first cball hits about the time the first claw special would, and the second hits when the second claw special would. There are two reasons I was drawn to this type of rushing however. First, people pray melee when they risk lots in the wilderness to protect from claw rushers, this makes the hand cannon more versatile than dragon claws. Also, from what I have seen, when claws hit on high armour, they are no longer accurate, the hand cannon seems to hit solid on rune armour from what I have seen so far. Opinions?

**Barrage/AGS Rush**
This type of rushing is seen less at lower levels, but it can be deadly if pulled off right. With the addition of new magic bonuses (chaotic staff/arcane stream necklace) this type of rushing has become more popular. The reason I see this combo effect is because it allows a very quick kill, sometimes if timed perfectly the enemy has no time to eat. Striking with barrage first means you get the bonus from turmoil on your AGS special. However, this type of rush can be hit or miss. If your barrage splashes theres really no point in going on as anyone can outeat two AGS specs since they are much slower than claws.

**Double Korasi Spec Rush**
I really want opinions on this type of rush. I have seen it only a number of times in the wilderness. Basically it is like a claw rush, but by using ring of vigour and good timing, you can perform two korasi special attacks back to back. It sounds harder than it actually is. There are a few benefits to this type of rush over claws. First, claw rushing is obvious, and you need to be stealthy about it. There are many pkers out there that use Korasi as their main weapon, thus making you blend in. Second, magic hits high on rune and other melee armour. While claws might have a difficult time taking down someone in full dharoks, this type of rush makes it easier. Although korasi cannot hit as high as claws, the special attack is generally more accurate, and from my experience, I hit near my max on korasi much more than I hit near my max with claws or AGS.


----These are some of the main types of rushing I have seen, there is also claws to Korasi rushing, but since it falls between two types listed above, I didnt think it would be worth it to add in. I am curious to see what you guys think is the best rushing at a medium high combat level, like in the situation I stated earlier. I am mainly talking about the 95-110 range. Is one type of rushing far superior to the others? Whats your opinion and why,

In my experience, I have found for me, D claw rushing is the best, I don't really throw much else out there.

The double / tripple Korasi shit is insane, the best by far.

 

I personally prefer the claw rush. I rushed in torva for awhile.. That was entertaining.

 

Well, im using this method: First i barrage / tb, after that 2x claw spec, and finally switch to g maul or obby maul for the last hit

 

Blitzags would be better I believe?

 

Thanks for the opinions guys. Still looking for more. The reason I think blitz was used instead of barrage back in the day with dds and gmaul rushing is because especially for dds rushing, having the opponent notice you from your spell allows them to eat before you spec the second time. I have seen many people pull off barrage/spec weapon rushes where the attack hit nearly the same time as the barrage. The one positive side to blitz is it seems to be more accurate, however, with maxed magic gear, hitting a 400 on a barrage can mean an almost guaranteed kill if your using korasi.

 

If your into 1 iteming rushing (no risk involved) I would definitely checkout some of Zamorak Lust's videos. He is a 30 def turmoil pure who is known for 1 item rushing, often smiting out godswords and claws and stuff, sometimes even taking down a max geared hybrid on full hp, with only an AGS. In terms of types of rushing, you can see in some of his newer vids (ChrisArchies Top 10 Rushes entries) he uses a barrage - ags spec - immediate gmaul spec and takes down a guy with full health with a decent defence gear. He also uses Hand cannon - AGS as witht the slow hand cannon shot he hits with AGS at the same time, often causing massive damage. Have a look through his shorter videos to see some originality when it comes to rushing He also uses chaotics sometimes i believe?

 

D claw rushing is so much easier with veng, its not even funny how easy it is to get kills.

 

Rushing is so annoying.. Why would you encourage it.

How about barrage to korasi? Barrage can yield up to 400~ in good gear, plus a korasi special which can do easy 300-600 in one hit, if you got the timing right you can squeeze in another korasi special for the kill, if you didn't succeed already. People who have pked often before will most likely wait for the claw special and pray melee, they won't see the korasi special coming.

 

In the rushers FC I'm in, most of the higher level rushers rush with 1 claw spec then switch to korasi and spec. Obviously you will need vigor but it works magic. As long as your first claw spec hits good.

 

On my pure, I am going to try:
Barrage>claws>Korasi>chaotic maul

 

Claws to korasi's with RoV. Pretty great.

The best rushing I've seen is with karosi and a group of friends on the lunar spell book refilling your spec hit after hit. It also helps to TB the prey.
