Got Suspended for MMR Boosting

Today, I lost my rewards and got suspended for MMR boosting. I only boost other players, and always use a VPN. I have no idea how they caught me to be honest. I play from my home IP and use a VPN for my clients. Also, all of the people I boosted are still fine. It's really weird, I don't know what methods they use. RIP Season 2, Season 3, Season 4, Season 5 rewards.

Rewards are legit, why do you think so many people pay to get boosted for them

 

Friend of mine as well. He couldn't get into gold so he had a friend get him to Silver 1 from Silver 2.

He then got into gold himself, really only had someone else play on his account for 4-5 games yet they still got him.

 

VPN does not help anything apart from boosting your confidence you wont be banned. Take this from someone whose been in the scene for a long time.

 

How did they catch me though? I never got boosted, and I only boosted other players. I used a VPN for my clients' accounts and my home IP for my account.

 

Keep in mind it's still possible to find your home IP when using a VPN, if Riot found there's a lot of accounts that are coming from this VPN it wouldn't surprise me if they investigated and found out

 

Wow, I didn't even know that. I really liked my rewards, so this sucks. Especially my Victorious Janna. Dammit.

 

MAC Address probably. I always change it when I bot on 07 so none of my other accounts are linked.

 

Riot supposedly can see through VPNs. At least that's what they've stated.

 

Even IF i wasn't in a position of knowledge about Riots MMR detection system, it would be quite natural that VPN would indeed not protect you, or your customers.

Heres a rant about services that adv. VPN AFAIK there are 4 types of services.
1. The service that advertises safety through VPN (does not use it) and takes a fee from it.
2. The service that believes in good will that the VPN will protect them and their customers and does not charge for it.
3. Then there are the services who believes it keeps them and their customers safe but also charges for the VPN useage (very douchey IMO to charge ur customer for VPN when the safety is a 2 way road. In this service owners mind it's okay to charge your customer for a VPN service to keep his own account safe) The key thing about this is, this booster/service would of used the VPN service in any case had the customer not paid the fee, just in order (according to his knowledge) keep his main safe.
4. Then there is the services that dont provide VPN, do state that, but also do explain why it wouldnt help even if we used it. Which i am a part of.

Take it as truth, or a grain of salt, only been in the business for 5 years and only know of 1-2 whose been banned either outside my service, or customer who didnt adhere to the rules of the boost. If you are a really really good booster there are ways to not get banned, if done poorly, or irresponsibly however, it will be happen (or just lack of knowledge really which isnt ones fault persay, this is not bashing towards u in any way.)

Although buying botted accounts is detectable in many cases, and has a high banrate. i would stay away from that. only way to keep urself semi-safe is looking for services who actively advertise with banguarantee and even then they regularly get banned after a month or 2 or 3. (note some smurf services actually only hold their warranty valid for a month or couple weeks after purchase... laughable)

 

Boosted 4 accounts to Plat before the season ended, still clear for now...

 

So frustrating when Riot doesn't even tell you any information in the ticket. It's literally "we have evidence, but you won't know that evidence". Like wtf, so frustrating.

 

Well next time I boost I'm going to be permanently suspended. If I stop boosting will I be fine, or is my account essentially toast, meaning that, Riot will just fuck me either way.

Atleast it wasn't a perm banned.

 

They flag your computer id, IP address and personally information so I strongly suggest you don't do it on that same account again.

You might as well just keep making more accounts and have reserve basis to never risk your main account.

That's exactly the point - if they showed you the evidence, you would know the methods they use to catch people and avoid being detected the same way again.

As others have said, best to just stop boosting as your account is now flagged.
