Diablo

I recently purchased diablo, but have yet to install it due to school. But i was wondering how diablo works. Is it similar to WoW as u pick a realm and your character is limited to only that realm? or can u hop different realms or servers like Runescape?

Another question, is it a mmrpg like WoW? as in i will be able to interact with other players around the world?

Furthermore, I will be playing within a week or two, and was wondering if anyone would like to play with me, kind of teach me the basics

 

Diablo is a top down, hack and slash, rpg, mmo, insane loot fest.

You can play solo, or you can join a public game and play with your friends or random people online. There are no realms, you just make your character and play. In Diablo 3 you play online with people who on the same quest as you whilst in Diablo 2 it was more random.

The game is very story driven which makes it different from most games of its genre. There are 5 acts which you progress through and are meant to be played through multiple times, on multiple characters, and multiple difficulties. All of the maps are randomly generated every time you play which keeps it fresh no matter how many times you play through.

I think you will really enjoy it because Diablo is such a unique experience in of itself. Have fun!
