Need A Paypal Expert URGENTLY

I'm going to keep this short and sweet..

1. I'm 16 years old, unverified on paypal, and now unfortunatly my account is limited.
2. I've paid £250 through e-bay for a playstation 3, however because my account became limited, the funds are now frozen.
3. Paypal and e-bay now require ID for the proof of my location and details.
4. The seller of the playstation 3 now wants to refund me, I'm not sure he can, though.

Is there anything that can be done to unlimit my account and all the cash to be sent back into my paypal?

Attach a credit card and bank account. This will unlimit the account. Use a parents credit card, unlimit it, and then remove the card, all with them overseeing it if you are not allowed to keep it on there, just for their verification.

EDIT: Can't I verify the paypal with my own bank account? I'm only 16 though, and I've read that you must be 18 to use paypal (however, it says nothing about any age limits on the actual website).

You can verify your PayPal with your own bank account, however i still believe you need a Credit Card to unlimit it. Age is not a factor.

Once the account has been unlimited you'll be able to send/recieve money again, meaning he will be able to grant you a refund i believe.

Kadej i got a question. My account is limited and i got like $50 on it. It is limited. If i just add a credit card (VCC) will it make my paypal unlimited, or will i also have to add a bank account?

If your name and age are fake then they wouldn't match with a valid bank account, etc.

That's pretty much what I was asking too, you'd be better off just to add a credit card and a bank account .

You can receive cash and send cash without verifying your paypal, however when it's limited you can only receive (yes, paypal make cash from you receiving money, hence why they still allow you to receive it lol).

 

I'm not entirely sure if VCC can unlimit an account, and would like to find out myself, as i have £150 sitting in a Paypal account doing nothing, due to the fact it is limited.

With unverified Paypals you can send and recieve cash.

And as Cuz said, if you're name and age are fake, they will not match your Bank account / credit card details, and will not work.

Dude, this is bullshit, i got a very similar problem.

I sold Tibia cash to some kid for 170$.
My paypal is unverified but it has all my correct contact information.
So a hour after i had cash in my PP i spent 170$ on exoshop.com for clothes.
For some reason, paypal called my house, and asked questions like "Did you send a payment recently? i said yes. "Amount did u send?" I said, 165.54 CAD. " They said " Okay thanks, bye". 20 minutes later, my account is limited, and they're asking for tons of information. Bank account, CC, and other information.

Anyone no why this happened?

I had £280 in a account frozen, I added 3 different credit cards/bank accounts- all mine and scanned my national ID and Driver's License for proof still didn't unlimit... i had to ring them up, still no joy, got the police involved..

Paypal = FUCKTARDS.

I also scanned my passport and my parent's utility bill, sent them to paypal.. DENIED. I will also involve police if paypal fuck me around any more.

I'm not worried about the spending limitation, Canadian paypals aren't limited either, it's the fact I have no way of getting back the £250 which is frozen by paypal. I also have another £50 in the account which I can't use atm.

I think it's because me and him were buying items from another website from an unverfied account, paypal may have became suspicious..

but I've given them details (uploaded scans of passport details, etc) but my appeal was still denied.

 

ahaa my appeal was denied gotta be in your name.. aload of shit isn't it? because it's under 18 proof. i don't use paypal now it's bollocks lol.

best bet, get police involved. they will warn you it's your own fault etc. just say you made it for your mum.

You don't need an ID for proof. You need to verify your paypal with a bank and/or credit/debit card. The playstation seller can't possibly refund you if the account is frozen just for the sake of refunding you

I payed £250 for a playstation 3 through ebay (which is connected to my paypal account), and my account became "under investigation" by paypal and ebay for "suspicious activity".

The funds I had/have on my paypal are from selling various accounts that I've owned, due to quitting Runescape and other MMORPGs.

My account isn't Australian, it's set under the United Kingdom (where I'm from).

All my information is correct .

Question: As I'm a British resident, I'm going to be setting up a bank account with Lloyds TSB. Once I recieve the debit card after setting up my bank account, will this count as a credit card?
