Desert Treasure

Has Desert Treasure been updated?
This is my first time attempting this quest so I may just be derping about but I've tried multiple techniques and I can't seem to get on the path for the ice diamond.
Please tell me it's the guide that's wrong and not just me

Do you mean the ice path? If so you have to make sure you're in your spiked boots and you click the bottom of the path to get on walking.

If its just the general path towards that.. Try turning your in game brightness right down and follow the darker markings on your mini-map.

 

Don't think the quest have had any major changes made to it.

 

The whole troll stronghold area got changed a while back.

 

I was using runehq's guide as well as tip.it, so it's probably me messing up. However it seems as though the game believes I have not done Death Plateau, I can't seem to buy climbing boots and when I go into the cave to enter the path nothing has changed.

You have to re-do the quest as it had a rework.
It only takes 10-15 minutes.
This was required for anyone who wanted to go to GWD aswell.

 

Thanks, I thought something like this may have been the case however I wasn't sure.

 

I always use the runescape wiki for all quests. Runehq and tip.it are also really good. Just review the steps and see if you missed something.

 

Yeah I did that, however it was the fact that Death Plateau has been updated that was causing me confusion, it wasn't allowing me to access the path to the ice diamond.

 

Ah, I understand. To be honest I haven't done a single quest without a guide. And I also haven't even done 1/4th of the quests Runescape has to offer. I absolutely hate them.

 

There are alot of good guide websites Runehq which you said you use also zybez.net is a good one as well

 

I'd suggest following a Youtube guide, Goingcrazy201's guides on Youtube are probably the best.
