September 11th, 2001. Do you Remember?

Since every year on just about every forums I go to, there is a thread about remembering 9/11. And because i'm the first to remember, i'm gonna be the one making the thread!

Questions:
1. How old were you?
2. Where were you at?


Really don't have to post til the actual day, but it's w.e.

 

Well, it's 11/9 here now. I didn't actually remember it until I clicked on this thread.

I guess it only has importance for Americans.

 

I think I was in grade 3, I was in class. The school was in lockdown I think (I'm in Ontario, a few hours from New York)

 

i was in fourth or fifth grade..

i was in class and my dad came to the school to pick me up. i thought it was a surprise birthday party for my brother or something, because his birthday is 9/11 so i asked him why he was picking me up.. he didn't really say much and when we got home we watched the coverage on the news.

 

I live in DC and shit was crazy man I could see the smoke. I was in second grade. We all had to leave immediately. When I came home my brother and my mom were watching the towers collapsing and I was like, "Woah, cool! What movie is that?" And...then I found out it was not a movie.

 

I was eight years old, at my grandfathers house on summer vacation, my dad called the house and told us to turn on the news and I remember watching it. Terrible day but very memorable.

I was in 5th or 4th grade and we were in the lunch room. At the time it just felt like drama for the purpose of drama. "Whoah did you hear this". "My parents used to work in NY" "Whoah Whoah Whoah" "This is going to go down in history"

Everyone was scared and kids started getting taken out of school by their parents one by one. I wasn't scared at the time I don't think. I was worried that close family friends were affected because I knew they worked there. Luckily they weren't.

To this day I love to go to New York and it's by far my favorite city in the world.

Things happen and need to be remembered but do I fear it? Not at all.

 

1. How old were you? I was in 2nd grade. The teachers all turned on the TVs and were wondering what was going on.
2. Where were you at? Nebraska, elementary school

 

3rd grade. I remember my teacher telling us something bad happened, but I didn't find out until I got home.
My uncle was on the plane that crashed into the second tower.

 

Oshit, it's that time of the year again.

 

I dont even remember what I was doing.

 

Damn, didn't know that.

I was in 3rd grade, we watched it in the classroom. Really don't remember much after that

 

4th grade. I was on the school bus when some girl, jill zolinger, said a "tourist detonated in new york"

 

I was 8 years old and I first learn about it when I got to school, everybody was talking about it and we spent the whole day discussing it in class. Our teacher made us right letters to George Bush to tell him what our thoughts on it were. My brother spent the whole day on the street outside my house with a sign saying "R.I.P Twin Tower victims". I can remember that every channel I turned to on the t.v was about the Twin Towers.

 

I was in 3rd grade, no one told any of the kids. So it pretty much seemed like an ordinary day, until I got home then my mom told me we were going to church (hardly ever go+ it was like 4:00 pm when we left).

 

3rd grafe.

I saw the smoke from my classroom alon with papers etc. (naturally). I didn't know what happened, but they sent us home etc.

 

Today is the 9'11 8th anniversery.

Id just like to talk about it here and chat among .

 

3rd grade, we watched it on tv after another teacher ran in yelling about it.
