oo i feel you bro ... in the last few weeks i kept playing and i just suck... i mean like when i was playing 1.6 i used to play decent but this... horrible

Number of total wins is irrelevant if you're losing more than you win, or if you're playing like shit in the games you did win.

In order to rank, you have to play well consistently and win consistently.

Same thing happens with me, got 157 wins so far, yet can't seem to rank past MGII.

guys, sorry to hijack the thread a bit but how would you recommend starting out? I just got a gaming pc so I can finally run games. i have played about 10 hours of cs go in total and mainly play casual, was told competitive was the way forward but the first game people crying about how bad I was. Any tips on what to do, you seem like you know how to play

also, fucking AK, can't control recoil and always die with tap shot...

yeah, some people told me to practice in casual and deathmatches; also, it's best to save for the first 2-3 rounds depending whether u win or lose them at the start of playing different sides.

 

I practised alot before I started playing it in competitive matches. Once you know how to play and win consistently as n4n0 said, it's your only way of ranking fast. I find it hard sometimes to rank, currently on Legendary Eagle, really want that LEM rank though.

 

If you bottom frag every game it will take you 50 wins to rank up regardless of how many times you win.

I realized I ranked up when i had top frag and it was a tie game lol.

 

What's your source on that? Where on earth did you get the number 50 either? Because there's no way that theory could be tested. That wasn't how I heard the ranking system works anyway, although they're all guesses and I believe what most people believe is the most accurate. What I heard was round wins and MVPs are the main factors when ranking up. Kills and deaths don't mean as much.

I have a friend who went from Silver 3 to Silver elite pretty fast. It caught all of us off guard. Not long after he went back to Silver 3. When we played with him he was constantly bottom fragging. I mean he was playing really bad in all the games we played with him, and we're all similar ranks. There is no way I'd believe score is what got him to elite that fast, he must have had a good few games where his teammates carried him.

 

Generally in silver if your whole team is doing better you will win regardless if you bottom frag which is why it's easy to rank out of silver.

 

That doesnt explain your claim of how you know the system works. You just said you'd have to bottom frag 50 times and win every one of them before being able to rank up. Suddenly that is exclusive to only non silvers? Im still interested in where your theory originated from. Rounds wins and MVPs are the popularly accepted theory of how ranking works.
