Gameruler93 requesting a pardon for off-site blackhat activity

    • Your profile link:
      Gameruler93

    • Report/post/reason that got you banned:
I was banned for offsite blackhat activity; account recovery, specifically. To the best of my memory serves me, I believe I was banned in around 2010 or 2011.
    • Proof of contacting victims for repayment or repayment of victims:
My victim(s) was never contacted by me, and I genuinely believe that the account(s) I recovered had not been active in years and the original user(s) had no plans to become active.
    • Anything you weren't banned for but want to confess to now:

Prior and subsequent to the events above, I have not committed any sort of blackhat/theft activity. I nor activity partaking in the acquisition of another party's property without that person's permission or consent. This is the only case.

    • Detailed description of the events that took place and why you think we should forgive you:
I was banned for offsite blackhat activity; account recovery, specifically. To the best of my memory serves me, I believe I was banned in around 2010 or 2011. I had joined a forum called BugAbuse at the time, in hopes of learning how to find/exploit Runescape vulnerabilities. This however, took a wrong turn as the professional bug abuser "teams" were much more experienced than the next thousand guys in line and they had several years experience beforehand.

Another part of the website dealt with exclusively blackhack RS activity.

Public forum user information was passed around, usernames, passwords, locations, etc. and I made the friendship of a guy who went by the name Shane. At the time him and his team had "private" forum information and a few times he'd give me snippets of old accounts to try to recover.

The number of accounts I was actually able to recover was minuscule. I was by no means one of the "famous" account recover-ers on the forum and it did not make me money or rares or partyhats like I was hoping to get like the screenshots. If it was not for Shane giving me specific details I definitely would not have been able to pull off anything like that.

There were maybe a total of 3 or 4 accounts I recovered, and most of these accounts were banned for RWTin the early 2000's, well before I started playing Runescape. I know for a fact I have one or two still linked to my emails and I would be more than glad to show you if necessary or if it'll help my case.

These events did not make me money and did not change my financial standing in this game. Before the shutting down of The Snellman Brothers's neXus Runescape bots (RSBOTS.net/Impsoft/Autofighter.org) and ran a bot farm. I was a member for there for years and a moderator on Perfecticus's forum before they were sued by Jagex and ultimately the sites were shut down.

Not on any site have I ever scammed anybody - not for an account, not for money/GP. I have never keylogged, phished, nor have I ever been involved in any malicious activity of this sort.

Prior and subsequent to the events above, I have not committed any sort of blackhat/theft/illegal activity. I have not participated in any activity of related to or partaking in the acquisition of another party's property without that person's permission or consent.

I appreciate you for taking the time to read this.

      Yes.

      Gameruler93's High Pardon

Found my old pardon thread via Google. It is false, cringey, and embarassing to say the least. However, some points (mentioned above) are true. The basis and reason of the ban was a screenshot of a title of a forum post on BugAbuse with my first recovery- and it was just that. Banned for RWT or not, it was my first. Looking back I sincerely do not see why I saw that as something that could give me bragging rights but this was the reasoning as to why I was banned.

On a side note, I did have some personal squabbles with Snow Patrol where we've gotten into a rather aggressive argument regarding an item being sold where he wanted me to go first yet did not want to use a MM himself. While this is hear-say and he is banned now, there was undoubtedly some conflict of interest in any decision he would've made towards in a case against me.

For the sake of this pardon, I have recovered my Sythe account to ensure nobody is using it but myself.

Gameruler93 requesting a pardon for off-site blackhat activity

    Hello @Gameruler93,

    User: Gameruler93
    Reports: Offsite hacking

    Previous pardon: Gameruler93's High Pardon

The rules on offsite blackhat have changed and this wouldn't necessarily be against the rules today. There are no debts owed and no signs of ban evasion so this can move forward to voting. Results can take up to two weeks and when a verdict is reached, your name will be shown in this thread.
