[DENIED] Remove CS:GO Discussion & OW discussion

Basically dead, goes 2 weeks at a time without a post and doesn't get any feedback or postings.

 

There really isn't much going on with csgo anymore, not much to talk about. The number of updates and operations lately have been really low compared to the past and this is an issue the csgo community has been voicing out. The playerbase for the game has dropped (along with most steam games, possibly because of fortnite). So I support this suggestion.

 

I have mixed opinions.

If it helps clean up the forums then I support. However to counter, in regards to marketing and SEO it would be best to leave the content there for users to engage and refer back to in the future. Deleting the section and archiving the content removes what may be valuable in the future.

 

The game itself has been dying for ages, it is shown and proven, I just personally don't believe it can have a positive outcome to the community when it is already so quiet, plus @Shin wanted to make a lot of games into a "other games" section with forums redesign, who knows how long that may be away, but I don't know if it is going to do much good for now at least, just a thought though.

 

I have seen on other sites sometimes the market and discussion sections of dead games get merged, but it does risk becoming a mess.

Personally I think considering "other" games as one category is a bad idea. But if RS is always going to be the main game for this site in the long term then why not I guess. I just think for the long term it would be best to accommodate more games, even if the site does have to be gradually redesigned.

 

If it means more space for Dota 2, I'm all for this.

2 weeks in-between threads is a dead section beyond recovery, the game is also shrinking dramatically.

 

Suppose I oughta add overwatch discussion to this too, falls under the same characteristics as CS:GO besides being a bit more active in terms of people currently playing the game.
