[DENIED] Send a message when a thread is arcived in RAS

Newcomers rarely, if ever follow the correct template in RAS. What I’ve found out over the course of my time here is that they don’t respond very well to notifications, but very well to messages. I’ve on special occasions messaged newcomers and they’ve always gotten back to me and most of them have updated their report/made a new one with the correct template.

Simple suggestion, much like the automated message you get from the User Center when you update/add a perk.

There should be a brief explanation why they should update it, community refund, and if the scammer chooses to pardon later on they could get their money back(which most newcomers are unaware off since they never read stickys)

Essentially, this automated message should contain a short message written by the person that archived it like «please use the correct template» Along with other information found in the stickys.

We have automated messages for infractions aswell. I think this would help a lot of newcomers.

I think we should start with RAS, and maybe later expand to the messages being different depending in which forum section it got archived, as this would require a lot of planning and resources.

 

Yeah, it would be optimal if they would check notifications, but they do not. They always seem to read messages however. And an automated system would ensure that everything the newcomer/member should know is sent to them, vital information there r in the stickys etc. And I doubt any staff member would remember to tag them, every time.
