    If you dont create and secure each gmail account without actually registering it to the account. And then provide the customer with that gmail account along with the runescape account. You are leaving yourself open to security hacks. Anybody can then make that gmail and steal the account. Thats not secure.

    I could be wrong but at that point the registered email would take priority over the address used to create the account, especially if the address used to login was never confirmed.
    They allow you to register a different email when you log into the site, even though the email used to login was never confirmed.

    I think jagex started with the the whole using the login address to recover the account if they suspect it to be stolen because they realized accounts that were sold have a higher chance to be botted on. They received an influx of "my account was stolen after being botted on" which caused a huge red flag. They saw that accounts like [email protected] were being created and trained (usually under a VPN), transferred to a new IP and then botted on, afterwards the account would be marked as stolen. Thus made it mandatory that these account be recovered by the login address as they knew its impossible to make the email [email protected]. This is all speculation and I cant say for sure though.

    I received this request not 10 minutes ago. This is asking me to allow the customer to bot, then hold responsibility for their actions. Absolutely ridiculous. I'd appreciate if a Mod would step up to the plate and explain how this makes any sense at all.

    This is why I never offered my zulrah or other goldfarming accounts on Sythe. The rules are not designed for people to sell goldfarm accounts that will 100% be botted. I sold pures, zerkers, and ironmen. Theres still botting bans but significantly less. At least within 30 days. I didnt want to get hit with a DNT. Oh well i guess, so much for that plan.

    So at this point I have two options:

    1. Decline the sale and miss out on a potential $900 USD profit since he wants to buy bulk
    2. Accept the sale and hold responsibility for 25+ accounts that WILL get banned.

    Seems fair.

    I enjoy the discussion but I feel like it's getting a bit off-topic. At the core is if we want to restrict contracting freedom (overrule ToS) regarding the one month-warranty and whether that is 1. Necessary 2. Effective 3. For what cases

    Agreed. If the buyer agrees to terms, and a notice has been made to the them prior to sale about botting, this should be it. Dropping the mic; my opinion will stand. Hopefully Sythe makes the right decision.

    I agree. this is a free market. I don't want sythe to go out of business. if they would fix some of the ,market and (Tos) things would be perfect. I hope the administrators and moderators will take care of this.

    I read some but not everything.

    @President is the only reason you want it tossed cause of freedom? Personally i agree and disagree. I know most new buyers feel more secure that its inplimented and as an old-skool buyer i just find someone who agrees to the lenght that i want myself.

    To summarise everything in two lines:

    The point that others already made is that not all account deals are perfectly cut to be fair with the condition of a 1-month warranty. The seller and buyer should have the freedom to deviate from this if they decide to.

    We will not be changing the minimum period of recovery responsibility. It's currently structured to maintain a fair balance between buyers and sellers.

    If you are selling an account you must maintain recovery responsibility for at least a month unless otherwise agreed upon.
