[denied] Post a reason for pardons being denied on the pardon.

Had a guy reach out to me saying he couldn't get feedback on his pardon as no staff would give it to him (will give the name of the member for any staff who would like), felt bad for him but can see an issue with this due to recent high denial rates on pardons which is 97 denied and 48 accepted, which is a total of 145 and 34% of pardons passing, this is actually not a big issue as some times you just get pardons which shouldn't pass because of x or y reasons.

the title or what we are suggesting, can't be done in all cases, for x or y reasons of course but in most cases, it can, if the reason has to be private it can be posted on the application denied for a private reason but I think this small change will make a massive difference for the op and improving the reason for pardoning being denied and passed in future.

Hi! I'm the user in question, a bit to add to this.

The current pardon system without feedback is counter intuitive, I understand in some cases the reason for the deny may not want/cannot be shared publicly, but there is little issue with providing feedback privately via PM.

Ex; Someone left info out to try deceive staff members into missing evidence, advising the user you're aware of them leaving out info directly confronts the user and will hopefully promote the opportunity to correct their pardon/be honest next time. (Not being honest breaks the rule below for context)

Be able to demonstrate reform of character and legitimate regret for your offense(s).

Currently the system without feedback promotes users to evade their ban/DNT as they have no information regarding what to do differently on their next appeal. This actually leads to more users being scammed, being a primarily marketplace forum this directly conflicts with the purpose of the site, as well as making more work for the staff team down the track.

This can be seen in the real world as well in terms of law breakers who have participated in rehabilitation services having less chance of re-offending (Statistically). In terms of Sythe the method of rehabilitation is often established by the period of time passed since your offence as well as information presented in your pardon implying your truthful.

Going through pardon archive, you can see there are denied pardons which happened years ago, as well users who have committed much larger initial offences who are accepted. Can provide evidence of this if anyone cares to read it but I feel my post gets my point across.

The answer on why we won't and can't do this is answered in the op's posts. If we did post reasons, we'd have to keep it standardized and do it for every single pardon. Most pardons are denied because of the example user above me. User charged back some money, played stupid games, ban evaded, repaid the money and pardoned once expecting a full support. That'll almost never happen and i don't think it ever has. If you honestly looking to come back with on good terms, your best to come clean on EVERYTHING, and not lie about a single detail. In other examples, we let pardons go through the voting process and the pardoning user thinks that they are getting away with hiding important details, but we in most cases already know what they are hiding and make it the first post on the voting process, and just keep denying the pardon until they decide to come clean. To end, sorry but we realistically can't post every reason on why someone is being denied. Most people don't deserve another chance, anyways.
