    Current thread goes like this:
    List of Username Changes

    What I'm suggesting?

    Not sure if any user has actually pardoned it just example.

    I don't think it fair that user should be able to pardon and have all their sins completely hidden if they change their name and wait 6 months, doesn't seem fair. Pardon about forgiveness but hiding your past isn't right

    Reason for this:
    Means user can find pardon if someone name changed after 6 months



    if u make it on guess account u can't be linked if u change ur name

    Pardons are a clean slate.

    How many times do we have to beat this statement into the community, there has ALWAYS been a complete consensus among staff that pardons should be a clean slate I have never since I've been on sythe seen a staff speak against pardons being clean slates - period. Pardoned users offences are forgiven AND forgotten, THATS WHAT PARDONING IS. Those offences are forever wiped, you don't see staff drag up offences that were pardoned and be like "oh but he did this this 1 time but then pardoned it". Thats not how it works, its a CLEAN slate provided you admit to everything properly.

    We don't name shame people who pardon, we don't give them special ranks, we don't make fun of them, we don't brand them like cattle, they are sythe users with clean slates when they return to this forum after pardoning.

    If they want to change their names - They have as much right as any of us.

    End of story.

    As much as I hate to agree, @Divine is 100% correct. If you want to utilize your ability to change names leave it at that, you are allowed it, don't hold someones past against them especially if they successfully pardon.

    This suggestion has been denied.

    People make mistakes, some learn, some do not. Regardless of knowing their past, there will always be the one that excels and becomes a changed person. On the opposite side of that there is always gonna be one who messes up. We do our best to make those judgements, but ultimately we can't predict the future. A pardon is and always will be a clean slate with a chance to prove yourself once again.
