[DENIED] Forbid advertising services in wrong sections

So recently lots of service/discord advertisers filled market sections, they make questionable offers that they're buying/selling accounts or whatever (which they probably don't) and use their topic to also advertise unrelated things
examples:
[$650+ Donor] [400+ Vouches]►► RUNGOLDVE ◄◄SELL ACCOUNT 99/99/99 NOT REGISTERED IN PROMOTION CHEAP
[$650+ Donor] [400+ Vouches]►► RUNGOLDVE ◄◄SELL ACCOUNT BEST PRICE FOR MAIN NO REGISTRED
★ [$300 Donor] [2100+ Vouches] ★ Buying RS Accounts from TRUSTED ONLY! ★

these are just a few random examples out of first page, and i usually notice more and more of these, so my suggestion is to ban advertising anything that isn't related to the section topic is being posted on or people will eventually start buying topic space instead of signatures

 

I agree with this, lately there has been an increase of people offering questing/skilling etc in the firecape section, if everyone was to do this the forum would look like a dumping ground for spam advertising.

Maybe a rule on advertising discord servers in un-related sections should be implemented also, as an example; advertising a gambling server as a form of contact in account sales.

 

I feel people looking for in-game service workers shouldn't be posting this in Job Listings and User Resumes , but rather the services page.

 

Why? That's like 50% of the activity in the section.

Support for OP though, unless *you* are offering the service in your Discord I don't see how it is particularly relevant to any section.

 

I cant say I disagree any less with you, because I truly don't. (whilst hitting a knife off my plate whilst i'm eating lol)

I actually reported a thread a day or 2 ago, I think it was a service thread for like levelling in the fire cape section or such. It was actually dealt with very fast, but simple understanding of where to place things should be common sense if you're going to be using the market.

If the user isn't offering the service relevant to the section they're posting in they can be reported. If they aren't following section requirements like proofs they can be reported.

Otherwise they aren't violating rules and aren't causing harm. Thank you for your suggestion. Denied.
