[DENIED] Disallow bumping services
Support. If you're serious about your business and really want it to be on top, put in the effort to bump the topic yourself.

Buying a bumping service isn't even pricy. Just imagine if everyone on Sythe were using one... Would just be a complete spam forum run by bots. Those who are already involved will obviously not support.

I support this, even though I'm not as active as I used to be before, but the current market is aids with the auto bump bot.

I also don't agree with the "its a free market" logic, by that. Let me grab all of my friends have them sign up, and just post "oh, sebast is legit" and so on. Since it is free market, I'll do whatever I want to make myself shine more through the market using unwanted methods that can never be traced back to me?

Sorry for this, but the current market is absolute dog shit.

I can support this 100%.

I do not personally use a auto bumper on any websites, nor will I ever. I feel it is far too over-rated, and so many people use it and it's just pure laziness.

If I want to offer a service, i'm going to comment on a thread stating that. If I want to sell gold I am going to make a thread and comment on it stating it.

Lol at the people who actually use the auto bumpers saying no support, obvious bias.

Using an auto-bumper, and or paying an individual to bump your thread(s) is not akin to being lazy. It’s a paid service that is available to everyone. Businesses are opting to lose out on their overall margins by paying for said service. It’s in its simplest form, a basic advertising and market-reach strategy.

You also need to realise that the scale of a business is quite relevant here as well. Your business is nowhere near as large as others (does not refer to everyone) that utilise auto-bumpers /pay an individual to bump their thread. For said businesses, it’s not feasible for the owner of said business to post themselves, especially when they are hardly involved in the day-to-day administrative operation of their business, i.e Bogla/Arcus, R2P, etc.

Also, sighting people who use auto-bumpers as bias, yet those that do not as objective, is quite comical.

There are however two aspects pertaining to auto-bumping/paying an induvial to bump your thread(s) that need to be made evident/added to the rules, these being:

1. If a business/user is paying an individual to bump their respective thread(s), then said individual MUST clearly include in their bump message that said bump is a paid service, and they are no way affiliated with the business itself.

This is paramount, as users may presume that the individual being paid to bump the thread is connected to the business itself, which can result in situations where the paid bumper is highly reputable/trusted, and the business owner is not, resulting in a disingenuous representation of the business, and its market reputability. Essentially, people can easily be tricked into a false sense of security.

2. If a business/user is using an auto-bumper/paying an individual to bump their respective thread(s), then that business/user MUST be online to tend to potential customers. This is already part of the rule’s AFAIK, but potentially may need to clarify that it extends to auto-bumpers/paid bumpers as well.

No support, if anything autobump bots should be disallowed as they could be racking up gold and the person is far more likely to not even be online at that moment.

People should be free to provide a bump service given they are in no way associated with that thread's sales or communication apart from their bumps. (assuming they have their own threads)

What you also need to consider whilst talking of big games is not everyone is a gold site, people who are not gold sites also use them and there however I am a big name.

Okay? Small or big businesses using them is fine.

To you yes, as someone who has done it for so many years. I don’t personally like to take advantage of auto bumpers and I am allowed to give my support/nonsupport if I wish to, it isn’t really an argument or discussion that’s required with a wall of text.

That's totally fine. I never said you're not entitled to your opinion or anything - simply discussing the merits of the suggestion in question, based on peoples stance around it.

Yes of course bro, you are free to also. I know that people would disagree with my standpoint as realistically it is something that does happen a lot.
I mean think of it this way, I am one of the biggest traders on osbot and I hold all their verified ranks along with the biggest service, not once in that time do I use the auto bump stuff or at that whilst we mention this, ask people to vouch on our threads for extra bumps. I don’t know why I’m different on this, I just feel that if I’m doing it I’m sort of taking advantage of people/ways around things and I know that’s not the whole truth as it’s common practice in trading.

[DENIED] Disallow bumping services
As someone with a bumping service, i'm just gunna agree that if we're autobumping for someone else, we should really be bumping with a message that clearly states we aren't affiliated with the OP.

I'll admit i've been lazy and didn't do this from the get go. Same sorta situation about advertising other user's banners though.

Fair suggestion, but its a free market and if we can't buy/sell autobumping then we shouldn't be allowed to buy/sell private advertisements etc etc!

[DENIED] Disallow bumping services
If the issue is the post count and sythe gold just make auto bumpers have to use bump accounts simples
no support but i provided a solution i would support

[DENIED] Disallow bumping services
*SUPPORT* - My issue with an auto bumping service is they could be bumping threads where there owner of those threads aren't available to do the service at said time. Not only wasting customers time trying to get a message back, but wasting other service providers time by being the secondary options to those non-active threads, and I cannot bump for another X amount of time.

[DENIED] Disallow bumping services
Support, I think this shouldn't really be a thing and i find it strange that it is for the price that it is.
I appreciate people want to be the cheapest, but people even admit it's just for post count / Sythe gold.

[DENIED] Disallow bumping services
I mean I support this. Only reason is because if you create a business and/or service. It should only be bumped by the user that created it. I understand it's a "FREE MARKET" but it really should be the user's responsibility to bump their own thread. Seeing other user bumping other users thread is simply just unprofessional in my opinion... unless they're partners?

[DENIED] Disallow bumping services
No support. As i know, Sythe is a free market. I would support that the AutoBumper MUST check the profile and making sure, that he’s not a scammer. If ppl aren’t paying an autoBumper, they are asking that any1 is creating 1. so not a big difference.

1.

Go here : Free Open Source Sythe Auto-Bumper [Python]

2.

Why can I rent my signature out to Bolga, but I can't bump his thread if within the rules of 1 bumper / thread and once every 8 hours? I can not see a valid reason why signatures are allow to advertise, but someone cant make a quick $4/m bumping someones threads, auto bumper or not.

3.

It is not against the rules to create a bot that bumps your own post and make a whole new account for it. I confirmed this and I believe @Panda did this ( although that was a while back not sure about the current sythe rules and if this was changed ).

[DENIED] Disallow bumping services
We are not going to disallow bumping services, they serve a purpose and benefit many people. The false advertising rules still apply to users using someone else's bumping service, so they should still be online when their threads are being bumped
