[DENIED] [Suggestion] Sythe.org Telegram Group

Hello all,

Just a quick suggestion. I will first state my suggestion, then I will list the pros and cons, and then we can discuss.

My suggestion is to start a Sythe.org telegram group for general discussion and possibly sales.

Pros:

• Ton's of telegram users ( I know people who grow telegrams to 40k+ users ) that could help sythe.org grow and gather new users, especially in the crypto discussions and sales section
• Mobile and Desktop applications ( Yes I know discord has this )
• Another outlet for users to talk other than discord
• Telegram allows for calls just like discord
• Telegram allows files sharing, admin rights, pinned messages, and much more
• Private channels, meaning only people who receive Invite links from admins can join (like discord)

Cons:

• Not sure if sythe.org tokens can work (meaning users may have to use their regular telegram accounts which may have their IRL name)
• Already a discord

I am sure there are more cons to this, but this is just a suggestion and I want to know what you guys think about this idea.

Thoughts?

 

I'll throw this here... Russia Blocks VPNs in Bid to Kill Telegram , seems as though telegram may be facing some shit rn? Although I like the idea, that deters me^, support.

 

If you split a stream into two paths, it makes it easier for it to dry up.

Meaning some people may prefer Discord and some may prefer to use Telegram. Now we have half the users on each and Sythe looks more dead and appearances become reality.

I don't think there's anything wrong with Discord.

I dont see much wrong with discord either. I see your point.

However, most of the more popular sythe users are in other discord channels for trading and discussion, sometimes with sythe mods anyway so I don't see why telegram would hurt for people who want to use it. It brings people out of the loop into sythe and maybe from their users can sign up and get discord token

would also help users connect more personally instead of behind sythe usernames. IDK, just a thought

 

No support although I think your suggestion is very thoughtful.

Skype became the new MSN. Discord is (and already has for many) becoming the new skype.

If users have to use their real identities, there is also a security threat and huge flaw for our kind of community.

The above points aside, I don't see why you couldn't make your own unofficial group and promote it in Misc just as discord channel owners do.

 

this is true. I didn't really think much into the implications for gold sellers and boosters.. Thanks though

 

This suggestion has been denied.

I recommend creating your own Discord channel / Skype group, as they are actively used in the community today. Adding another source of dividing the community is not helpful at all.
