But seriously, it takes a couple of seconds to do this and here are some pro's:

-Give context to rules. If a rule is unclear to a user, he can read up on it more easily. If there is a dispute and a rule is being called upon, more context may be decisive. Sometimes a rule was designed for exactly some specific scenarios.
-Avoid debates repeating themselves; all arguments are out there already and you can read up on them
-Some very smart members come and go. What they leave behind are clever arguments for certain rules that most of us miss. It would be a shame for these contributions to fade.
-Spot outdated rules

I understand it's not a fun job to do this, but it doesn't necessarily have to be done retroactively.

 

I think the title should be reworded to "Hyperlink changes in sections to appropriate suggestions", sometimes things are changed without being approved, as they may not be the original suggestion. I definitely like the idea of having a backlog for someone to see changes opposed to running through archives looking for it though. So support.
