Deleting Paypal Account

If I close my paypal account that I made like four days ago and I sent $40 to someone too, what will happen? I want to close my paypal account, but I'm afraid if I do, the $40 will be subtracted from the other person's account. I want to cancel my account without the person that I sent money to losing the $40 i sent them.

Can someone tell me if I cancel the paypal account, will the person that I sent $40 to lose the $40?

 

Hey, I'm pretty sure if the transaction already went through he still has his cash even if you delete you're account. Unless it says pending instead of complete...Then I'm pretty sure he wouldn't get the cash. But I haven't been on Paypal in a wile, but I don't think anything has changed much. Soo good luck

It won't. I've done it a few times in the past.

 

It may limit his account though because Paypal may think that he's laundering money(assuming that he owns both accounts and that he illegally obtained the funds therefore he needs to transfer them to another account). Have him withdraw the cash just to be safe.

 

It wont do anything. Maybe if it was $1000+ or something, but $40 is nothing.
