Defensive Casting

Is it quicker to:

A) Train magic and defence separately
or
B) use defensive casting

Also, do you need high defense for a mage boxer? Thankyou

 

defence doesnt effect your hits. so you can hit the same on a 99 defencer as you would on a pure.

 

Depends on you att and str. I have a ranger and I am training with long range instead of rapid. Its not that bad and when doing def seperately it would be extremely painful. Of course it is slow, both in terms of having slightly lower exp/h and in terms that you are actively training 2+1 skills at once.

Defencive casting + doing mage with combat is expencive as hell thought.

Doesnt defencive casting slow your casting down?

 

I THINK defence comes into play, but a lot less than magic level.
