Overheated laptop

I need a solution for my laptop.

When I turn it on it runs just fine.. then i log into my account and start browsing around... Then the fan turns on and the computer gets really hot!!

The screen gets real fuzzy then blacks out, but the comp is still running in the background (still playing my mp3's).

what can I do?

The fan works just fine it is just that the comp gets super hot!

 

keep your laptop on a flat surface so the air can circulate better.

We took it into a shop and a guy had to freeze that laptop before he could use it and it only lasted 5 minutes.

It is like touching a cookie sheet after it comes out of the oven.

It gets really hot!

Did i mention i gets hot?

Any other ideas?

If you go into the BIOS you should be able to put the fan on all the time.
Try to take out any dust

Go to
Start | Run | msconfig | startup | and uncheck the ones you dont use

what kind of laptop do you have?

 

Typically, just let your laptop stay off for a day or so, usually comes from excessive use.

This also could be a sign of old age if your computer is old, if not then take it to the retailer and have them check it out. It could just be a bad computer, just stay off for a day then if it still hot take it to retailer.

 

Yah, how old is your laptop? If its pretty old just buy some canned air and spray the hell outa that thing. I just sprayed out my comp few weeks ago and its running 10 C cooler.
