    What makes Right and Wrong?

Just been thinking about this recently, and I'm just curious to see what you guys think.
As the title says, what makes something Right or Wrong? Is the concept of right and wrong strictly subjective? I'm sure that for every act act of "good or evil", someone could try to justify their actions with whatever excuse they feel they need. Is there any instance that you can think of that is universally accepted as either Right or Wrong?

    What makes Right and Wrong?

First of all: There is no right without wrong and

This question can be asked in two different situations:
    1. When do you think something is right or wrong.
    2. When does 'the rest' think if something right or wrong that you do.

    1. As I see it, it is that something is 'right' to you if it feels good to you. If you like sitting at home all day doing nothing, that's allright. Same goes for something that you feel that's wrong.

    2. Anyway, that's not how people usually react. People tend to look how others are judging them. And I think that's where we go wrong. The thing that is 'right' in the eyes of 'the rest' is usually a result of the media.

For instance: All commercials about clothes are about the big brands: Gstar, Chasin', Tommy Hilfiger and all the others. Now when one buys jeans from an unknown brand, he will not be bragging about it to his friends. He might even feel emberassed about it.

I think this is what is really wrong. The right thing is to do what you want, for what you believe.

I don't know if you were going for this, tell me if you were going for something else. And everyone comment and critisize me all you want, just don't be to harsh on my spelling, I'm Dutch!

    What makes Right and Wrong?

I think that there really is no such thing as right and wrong, except within each individual. Some see it as wrong to do one thing, while others do said thing and see it as perfectly fine.

When somebody says "You're not normal", I always wonder who was the person who became the role model for normality, and what made them more "normal" than everybody else.

I think that if you are going to decide if something is right, or wrong, you need only look to yourself for judgement.

Right and wrong only depends on which side of the sand your currently standing.

Yeah you are right. Sometimes we can't judge what is good and what is right. Sometimes for the sake of good we have to do some bad things.

Yes, but human morality still comes into play. You don't need a god to be a moral human or to have morals.

Sure, morals could exist, but there would be no absolute basis for them. Nothing can be inherently wrong, for everyone. Right and wrong would be individualistic, not absolute.

I think he means to have a 'good', we must also have a 'bad'.
