Chinning to 99 Range Advice Please

When i played about 2 years ago the spot to be at was supposedly Mummies and this is where i trained to 99. All the guides on youtube and players ingame recommend Ape Atoll. Which is the best for xp? And preferably a decent guide accompanying it.

 

I personally trained 99 range at Ape Atoll about a year ago. I'm almost certain that it is better than mummies for exp rates.

- Slightly dated (February 2009) but seems very detailed. Just make sure you double check with a modern guide/video to be sure nothing has changed.

You may want to look into flasks for longer runs and therefore higher experience rates p/h, however just keep in mind that it'll be more expensive. Also, keep in mind that it is better to have a higher ranged bonus than a prayer bonus, so never sacrifice a good range bonus for a prayer bonus. And, no defensive equipment either, it's not needed since you'll be praying.

i used 60k red chins from 75-99 at apeatoll ammy range archers ur choice with voide or blackdhide dont forget to use flask prayer and range and anti pot u will stay longer

I trained range at skeletons on my main over the weekend. How much budget do you have to spend on armour, and what's your range level?

 

Chinning is the fastest range exP

 

Range lvl is 73

Can spend however much needed

 

I've done mummies and at ape toll. I believe the ape toll was much faster exp because mummies you have to run around and relure after killing all of them.

 

If your range level is 73 I would go mummies then go ape atoll when your 80 range. Also get a decent pray bonus whilst having a good range bonus dont go for one or the other.

 

Ape atoll is better.

 

Go for Ape Atoll if you have alot of moneys, if not go for mummies in chaos tunnels

73 Range- 75 def- 99 pray and alot of munies

Yes it is

 

For my gear, I use armadyl, range ammy, ranger boots, prayer book.

For my inventory I bring: 1 super energy for running, 1 antipoison, 3 range pots, 3 prayer renewal pots, varrock tele, monkey greegree, 2 rocktails, and the rest prayer/super restore pots.

 

For the record, Frost Dragons and Dragonbane Bolts using a cannon is like 250k ranged exp/hr and 750k gp/hr. It's a little slower ranged exp, but it's profitable rather than really, really expensive.

 

I've done mummies and monkeys. Monkeys are WAY better xp and there's no clicking involved other than clicking your pray pot. Also use short fuse.
