I think I fried my CPU?

I have a power supply that went to a case that was twice as big as the one its in now. Sometimes the wires get stuck in the cpu and stop the fan, it did that and my CPU was at 185 degrees and I think I fried it.

Everything boots up but it freezes when I play World of Warcraft and some games.

Does the fan still stop sometimes because if it does the problems you're having could be just that your CPU is overheating due to lack of cooling.

If the temperature seems to be normal when the freezing occurs then there was probably some damage done to your processor when you saw it overheat the first time.

Well, you didn't completely fry it if you can boot up. It definitely might have some bad damage to it.

If I were you, I'd see if you can RMA the cpu.

maybe the reason why your comp freezes is because your RAM is too low to handle it

Replace your fan and make sure it is attached properly.
If it doesn't stop make sure it only happens when you play those games. If it is that your computer just may not be able to handle them.

Same thing happened on my laptop, turns out my fan was full of cat-hair <_<...

I'm going to kill my cat, it made me pay ~35USD to fix the fan alone. Computer would also cook up when playing wow, just clean the fan.
