    Why are they all wearing a gaming headset, ear buds, and ear muffs? whats the point of that?

    You must hear EVERYTHING at once. In reality, they get paid by sponsors to wear the sponsor's gear. If you are even seen sporting it, it counts I guess. :confused:

    Yeah but what i dont get is why arent they just using their gaming headsets for talking/game sounds? What would be playing thrue the ear buds and whats with the ear muffs? It makes no sense to me :eek:

    Headset: Not sure why he has them... probably sponsor related
    Earbuds: For in game sound
    Muffs: They're noise canceling headphones. Its to ensure that the players don't hear the announcers or any information from the crowed.

    Saw a few SC2 matches ruined because the player could hear the announcer enough to figure out major parts of their opponents build.

    Also saw a CS 1.6 match where a guy on CT was 1 v 5 and the bomb was planted, he walked around a corner and the damn Ts just walked by him on accident. He snuck by and was diffusing the bomb but the crowed got all hyped and the Ts turned around and killed him.

    The muffs are really darn good. It covers everything. It is used on Aeroplane Runway the people who work there etc and the one in military jets etc.

    The headset around their neck is used for communicationg - Microphone
    Ear Buds - Sound.
