So, is there anything better than 256 bit AES?

    I'm currently using Serpent-Twofish-AES, all 256 bit.

I'd like something more though... Don't lecture me about the probability of someone actually cracking the encryption or how long it would take or any of that nonsense. People are getting closer and quantum computing is already here so it's only a matter of time. I want something that's absolutely secure.

Is there a program I can use that allows more than 256bit of AES, Twofish, or Serpent? 512 bit would be fine, but the higher the better.

Or if there's some other algorithm that's better than the three mentioned above...

I know this is a shot in the dark, but maybe someone will know what I'm talking about.

Sorry to break it to you, but if quantum computing does go through to the common home and manages to cost less than $10,000 a piece, any encryption, even 8192 bit AES, will fail. The only encryption safe from quantum computing is quantum encryption, which won't happen till you have a quantum computer. The one benefit is that the filesystems will almost certainly be totally incompatible

IMO, stick with what you have, 256 is good. You have nothing to worry about bro.

Yeah, I don't think you have anything to worry about. I'm pretty sure Quantum Computing is a long ways off. I remember hearing that the best they've been able to do so far is calculate like 3x5=15 at a quantum level or something similar to that. It may be a bit better by now (was like 6 months ago I saw this) but still, unless you're hiding like 100 TB of cp I think you're good with 256 bit AES.

So I know I'm good with 256bit AES, but is there anything better?
