Hi.

We have recently changed around our rules in discord because the old rules contradicted themselves on many points. The staff team is still acting on changing the rules everywhere on the website. I have had a discussion with the staff that were online and have came to this conclusion.

For reference, this will fall under the "old rules" found on the official page: The Official Sythe.org Rules

Disclosure of Others' Personal Information: Posting information such as private emails/MSNs, private Skype accounts, Facebook accounts, addresses, phone numbers, private photos, etc. of someone other than yourself without explicit consent of that person will result in up to a 1 month ban regardless of whether or not the information is publicly available. If a picture was posted by its owner on Discord or Sythe, this rule still applies.

Non-Spam forum users: (User's who do not participate in spam forum for 6+ months): There is a presumption that all personal information and photos is private and can only be shared with permission

Spam forum users: (Active spam forum participants): There is a presumption that only the most personal information and obviously private photos (i.e. nudes are protected from sharing, SSNs, full names, private addresses, private photos)

Excludes: Anything posted on a public facing social media profile is allowed to be shared of SPAM forum participants (includes #sythe channel participants in discord). Every discord channel except the general one is non-spam.

Note: These are adjusted on a case by case basis and are just guidelines.

Multiple offences of the above rule should call for further punishment under harassment with the following punishments:

1st offence: 1 week ban

2nd offence: 1 month ban

3rd offence: 3 month ban

Final offence: To be discussed

All rules in order to be enforced must first be interpreted by the staff. Where the application of a rule to the facts of a case is not obvious the staff will make a best effort, by drawing from the common law, to apply the rule in question. In rare cases where there is no fitting rule a new rule may be established by precedent. If you feel a rule has been applied incorrectly you may request an appeal in the dispute forum, however upper staff do not have to accept your appeal. In particular if you have previously had an appeal fail staff reserve the right to dismiss your appeal summarily.

There is a reasonable expectation of privacy from Grave posting his photos in his own discord and Dank broke that by moving that photo over to the official sythe discord, This is also not his first offence on the matter.

Taking the above into account I have opted to add time to Dank's ban (as he is currently banned).
