Dangers of associating account with Facebook?

Will making a facebook account just for logging into runescape allow hackers to have more opportunities to get at your account?

 

I don't see why it would make any difference..

 

not if you dont put any personel info on the facebook account. you should be safe.

ofc i wouldn't associate my real facebook with my rs account
i was asking if there was any danger making a facebook account with no info on it, and then associating that with my rs account

 

I'd be careful, because someone having access to the email account you use for the FB account would allow them to access FB and thereby your account. If you make sure every step of the chain is secure, then you should be fine.

 

Why is RS any different from any other MMORPG? I tell my friends I play RS, there's no shame in this. Sure, there might be some friendly jokes but getting bullied for playing RS is ridiculous...

Anyways, I stopped associating RS with Facebook. The login is a bit of a hassle imo.

 

I have my account linked with my facebook profile, shit I make statuses about going to play runescape lol.

 

Kid bullied me, I beat the pulp out of him in front of his girlfriend. Hes not popular anymore and I'm allowed to do what i want. =)

 

Lol.. that doesn't really make you any better than him, but ok?

 

The moral of the story is don't judge somebody by what they like to do in their free time, because in reality they could probably one - up you in what you think you're best at ;p

 

Don't associate your Runescape account with your facebook, its just a recipe for disaster. No pun intended... But would you like girls or people you know that you play runescape, even if you are easy going about it still its not a great things to associate with your general everyday life.

The amount of status pertaining to trash and stupidity on FB is limitless. Yet, you don't judge people based on those comments/likes/pictures. However, associating RS on your FB is stupid and considered a 'social crime' in your view. Just plain stupid.

 

You should be find making a blank facebook to use on your runescape account as long as it's secure.


ALSO: Runescape isn't something that you should be ashamed of, its just a game. I certainly don't bring it up or anything but if it came up I'd be fine saying I played/play it. If someone gives you shit for playing a videogame; just ignore it.

 

If your facebook gets hacked you're fucked.
