Smoking Weed - Side Effects.

Could someone please tell me the side effects/consequences of smoking weed?

I have never ever done it before, but i'm now considering it..

I'm 19, i'm not going to smoke it to 'try to be cool', that's like high school shit.

And what does it actually do anyway? Like when i see stoned people, they just seem retarded, thats it. My friend smokes weed all the time, sometimes he's like laughing and does really funny shit when he's stoned, but thats just ocaisionally. Other times he can just sit there stoned, doing nothing at all, and it's fucking boring being around him.

 

well when i do it my arms and shit go numb, i laugh at everything, and i talk alot, but if your gonna smoke i only do it with friends or else it isnt fun.

 

This is weird. I just tried it for the first time last friday.
It's nothing special, trust me.
Though I slept good that night.


(The part about doing it with friends is true, It would be hella boring by yourself.)

 

The only side effects are feeling tired (not lazy) and with EXTENSIVE use some short term memory loss.

 

its different for every person and depends on how much u smoke.... i just laugh alot,at stoff thats not really that funny lookin back on it. everythin looks weird its injoyable but i wouldnt go drivin or stoff like that

might get social shy if u smoke everyday..
any smoke is not good for ur lungs.. once every week or so isnt even that bad..
if ur not in a comfortable place you might find urself paranoid...

it might me booring to be rroud a stoned person but trust me... when u try it ur gunna have FUN.... jst sitting back chillin the heck out... ur mind chillin ..
oh btw... it might depend on the type of the weed...
but since ur not buying it from the grower or a dispensery then i doubt you will know what type of weed u got...
there is 2 types... one that gets u energetic and that makes u tired..
most ppl grow the type that makes u tired bcauz its easier and faster...

And how long do the effects of it last? Like if i smoke some, and then want to drive later that day, how long would i wait before it'd be safe to drive?

 

When I smoke one, it gives me this sense of nirvana. The only bad side effects is that your eyes turn red and you get kinda thristy.
EDIT: How long you get high really depends on how much you smoke, but I'd say my average high is around 3-4 hours

 

dont try to smoke toooo much for ur first time..
like i would say 5 hits - 6 maxx ur first time (from a joint)... it would be REALLY bad experience if u smoke more than that...
thats if u properly inhale it in ur lungs to actually get high (dont get it on ur lungs = waste weed and no high)...
take like 15 seconds break between every hit and make sure the smoke gets to ur lungs for 3 seconds MINMUM... not more than 5 seconds tho..
i would say for ur first time like 3-5 hours high... but dont try to drive after smoking for God's sake.. u would be REALLY tired..
cant u do it next to ur house or something??

 

When me and friends get high, depending on the day,mood, etc, we just sit there, eating cookie crisp not talking at all. It is basically like day dreaming. If I was high I dont think I would be able to sit in one place for so long.

 

I realized that you asked also about what it does to you..
Well, first u feel happy and probably tired...
everything seems brighter in colour...
things might look a lil bit distorted and intersting..
u see and realize things u have never realized before...
u become so aware of ur environement..
sometimes if ur lucky u get spiritual experiences.. where you actually feel ur out of ur body watching ur body walking.. pretty sick eh?
u also get really hungryy...
it also proven to be a temporary anti-depressant..
u might find trouble remembering things ..
u might find urself having trouble walking...
u will have bloodshot eyes (eyes reallly reddd)..
and like said before u might feel that ur day dreaming.. or ur in another world and everything is a cartoon or 3d movie...

i've got an awesome feeling in my leg
music is fucking AWESOME
mouth is getting a little dry
i wish i had food in my house i'm gettin the munchies
pretty heavy headed, i can feel my neck holding my head up

I normally just feel really happy, a very slight body high, and a little tired. You're definitely not gonna wanna like "party" or anything. I usually just chill with a friend or two and listen to music/watch TV or movies.

Okay i'm confused.

I thought it'd make you energetic, but everyone seems to say i'd be tired?

I don't want to smoke weed and then just go to sleep :/ hahah.

 

Some strains of weed will get you energetic. There is 2 types of weed, I forgot the 2 different chemical names but there is weed that gives you energy and you like to do stuff (sometimes I get pumpped and think I'm the toughest shit lmao) then theres weed which gets you burnt out and tired when your high is gone.

Your going to want to drink something for sure, and probably eat as well. When I smoke weed I want to eat and stuff.

As for the side effects, you'll want to smoke it and hold it in as long as you can and take as biggest tokes. It's not bad to cough, infact, you want to cough it gets you more high. You won't feel much your first time, my first time experience was like this:

Smoked weed in winter, almost went the wrong with at the bus. Didn't feel like walking far, but we had to anyway. Got into the mall didn't know what to buy, just sat there and munched out drinking laughing at everyones different faces and the dumb little kids. Got in the car and stared at the seat for 20 minutes. My legs felt all tingly.

Now when i get high I want to just chill, eat, drink, lying down is extremely comfortable but it's hard to keep focus on things and my attention span increases ( I can just pay runescape for hours ). It gives you a nice feeling of relaxation. All in all, you will just find shit more funny and enjoy yourself more as long as you don't think hard, thinking hard takes your high away.

 

I haven't smoked since April. I was stoned pretty much every day for 5 months straight before that. I know what it's like to smoke, and it's different for everybody. So, you shouldn't tell me I'm wrong just because it had a different effect on me than it did you.

Edit: btw Tyson, I wouldn't say it makes you "tired" I guess just extremely chill. I never have any problem falling asleep after a good high, but I don't have any trouble staying up either.. so I guess "chill" is a better way to put it than tired.

 

I dont know if it was the weed but after smokin a blunt with my cousins. Everything was in slow motion, I would laugh alot and was really social to. Also i developed a bad memory and forgot alot of stuff after the event.
