Is now the right time?

For the past 6 months I've been looking for a new car. Finally, I've found one. I want this car. However, winter will hit within the next couple of months. Would it be best to wait until after winter is over? I've gotten mixed answers.

Do you plan on storing it over winter? If not buy it now if it's the right price. If it's a car that will be stored then you have to weigh your options. In the spring a car that's meant to be stored is typically more expensive but then you don't have to pay to store it. Example buying an rx7 in the spring will probably be 2k more since it was stored and there's more appeal with summer coming.

 

Depends where you're living and how hard the winter will hit in my opinion. If it could be potentially damaging to the car, and you have no way of storing the car in like a garage, than you may want to consider waiting. But if it's just the latter that you won't be able to drive it as much, I'd suggest buying it now.

 

Where do you live? If winter hits hard, I'd say wait.

I live in NYC, i wouldn't buy a 2016 Audi A6 here. I'd suggest only buying it if you have a garage or a place to store it when the snow piles up.

 

You might lose out on the deal (if it is really worth it). If you REALLY think its a good deal, buy it and store it (or tarp it). If you think there could be a better deal down the road then wait it out.

 

Do you have a garage to put it in there? Also depends how much snow you get around your area.

This is probably already assumed, but if you do buy it now and drive it through the winter, keep the salt off of it. Doing so makes the car less prone to rust
