Hi guys, I'm 16 and in 11th grade but I'm currently in one of the top prep schools in the country so I should be able to help you guys on some issues you may be having with homework.

You took latin... I'm currently in latin 2. Will need help for sure. I'm having trouble in latin at the moment though. do you reccomend taking AP virgil and etc?

 

I stopped the year before AP virgil. I hate latin, but I was pretty good.

 

I also hate it but to get into a good college 4 years of a language is recommended. Could you explain to me how translating works?

 

Do you mean translating latin in general?
It is very complicated to just "explain", you are basically asking me to teach all of latin.

 

Sorry if this is a bit Off Topic but, I used to take Arabic classes, and am curious how good/educated you are in Arabic?

 

I'm asking how to translate a basic sentence. Like what do you find first and how do you piece it together etc.

 

Ok well what is helpful is you first find the verb and translate that. Then you find the nominative noun, then the direct object, then the indirect object, then any clauses, and then any adjectives or additional words.
Remember, the words, unlike English, can be in the order of the author's choosing.

 

Can you help with Spanish 2, AP Physics, AP Calculus?

As stated above, please read my courses. As stated above, I do not do calculus as I am taking pre-calculus honors this year. If you look above, I have never taken Spanish.

Why are you taking precalculus and calculus at the same time?

 

I am not. It is an advanced honors course so we take Precalculus until January and then do calculus AB for the rest of the year. Then I take calc BC senior year.

 

Ever had to read Beowulf? I have to write a one page paper on this.

1. What are the main differences between the version of Beowulf in the literature book and the chapter from John Gardner’s Grendel? Explain in full detail using quotes, examples, and line #’s.

2. Using Beowulf as your main example, how did traveling scops explain the presence of evil in people and society in general? How do we explain the existence of evil in the world today?

3. Explain how Beowulf would have been a totally different story if there were no elements of Christianity within it. Explain and use examples.

4. How does the story of Beowulf reflect Anglo-Saxon life, values, and beliefs? Explain and use examples.

I read Beowulf, but I don't help with long assignments, they are too laborious.
