    Workout Help?

Alright so i'm 15 at 5.2 (i know..) And about 110 pds. I am very skinny exept for my belly. I have some belly fat i would like to get rid of. Not necessarily looking for muscle just a lean/ tone body.. I've been swimming laps for about a week and have noticed a slight change... But im just wanting to know if there is anything better.. I'm guessing i should just do cardio or should i just do a little of everything... Please help

"A little of everything" is probably closer to what you should do.

How's your diet? You should be eating 5-6 meals a day including lean mean protein, good fats and vegetables in each one of them.

Ever tried HIIT (High-Intensity Interval Training)? Do some google searches on that. Plenty of REAL stories to back it up.

Personally I do about 15 minutes of HIIT a day, four days a week, and a fifth day I do about 30-45 minutes of HIIT. I've been doing it for around a year now while eating as best I can according to the 5-6 meals a day thing I mentioned. I'm 6', I've lost around 20 pounds, down to 170lbs now, noticed solid muscle gains (I was so weak when I started that I couldn't even do a proper pushup), and my abs are finally coming in. Yes, all this on less than 2 hours of exercise per WEEK. You'll find that the real key to getting a lean, tone body is diet, not working your ass off in the gym or pool for hours on end.
HIIT and a good diet is also recipe for life, something you can take with you for years and years, not a short-term fix-me-upper.

If you want to boost your ability to show off your abs, make sure you are also doing exercises for your obliques and lower back. Having bigger muscles in those areas will stretch your skin and help give you that "ripped" look around your abs.

Diet, Play a sport you like at least 4 days of the week, right after you're done playing do sit ups until you get tired. [IMG] It's better if you have a friend that can hold your feet's or try finding an object that can hold your feets.

For me that's the easy&fun way.

If you want results fast hit the gym, do all kinds of abs exercises.

    Workout Help?

Thanks for the suggestions, and i rather like Roasted's suggestion and i might try it out. I also plan on doing crunches, since I've heard they are way better then situps. Any more suggestions?

I suggest doing different exercises because 1) doing the same exercise over and over is boring, and 2) you workout different muscles/parts of the muscle. Why not do crunches one day and situps the next? Or do a mixture of exercises--10 leg raises + 10 crunches + 10 situps + 10 side crunches on each side in back to back succession, rest, then repeat?
If you really want to workout your lower abs, try strapping some weights to your ankles and do leg raises. It worked for Ryan Reynolds in Blade II and he was nothing to laugh at.
