Who buys all the gold?

Hey, I have a small gold farm my self(Its more like my main and few other acc botting 24/7). And I have no problems selling gold here on Sythe(as long as I offer good price). But who on Earth needs so much RSGP? I mean look at frost dragons dungeon. There are thousands of bots there. Not to mention flaxers, wc`ers, miners and etc. All these bots creates a fascinating amount of cash. And all of them are to get and sell gold in real life. Who buys all the gold? I mean, why would anyone buy such huge amounts of RSGP? Could anyone try to explain to me who and why buys all the gold? For me it looks as the waste of real world cash, as you can easily bot all skills in RS and rares doesnt give something worth it.

All those huge rsgp buyers you see are buying the gold for a very low price (in very high amounts), such as 5b for $0.40/m, and sell it for maybe $0.60-$0.70/m.

 

Doesn't change anything to his point. There's still a consumer in the end (the one who buys from the merchers).

Looking at my customers, most big buyers are stakers, dicers, people who want to get torva/pernix/virtus and that kind of 'useful' expensive gear mainly to join good nex teams (so people who like PVM etc). Also people who are high ranked in the highscores and need to buy exp (herblore,prayer,construction) or simply zerkers who need cash for turmoil.

^ That, sir is a way over projection for the selling price, more like .55/.60 tops.

 

I am still selling small amounts @.7-.75 on a daily basis, and medium amounts (like 200-500M) @.65.

So you are telling me, that the end customers are pvp`ers, stakers, dicers and so on? But do they consume so much gold? I mean you can get rare arm for 1-2B, but it still looks like that there are too many incoming gold compared to used. And what with people that are high in highscores? whats the point in spending $1000 in prayer so that it will get you a bit higher in highscores? Does it give any benefits?

 

Just look at all the people getting 200m herblore exp or prayer exp or so. They could have sold the gold aswell for a nice buck IRL. Yet they choose to blow it to get in the top highscores. Weird to understand, but so be it.
