Cut the bullshit with the favoritism and unpredictable ban lengths

This is in regards to the whole Gun/Dank/Gohan/Grave bans that happened recently.

Grave - posts a picture of a cock in #nsfw, not asked by Gohan to remove it at all, he removes it anyway a while ago, without any kind of verification, Grave gets 1 month ban for first offense because Gohan has an old screenshot saved up.

Gohan - posts several photos after being asked not to of Grave, several times, does not remove them after initial ban, clearly doesn't give a shit, gets only 1 month ban on recurring offense (still not removed BTW after I asked staff to remove it, you had a month plus to moderate this content.)

Gun - posts shitload of photos without consent, removed them, posts photos of Grave and of another member b1b and finally gets caught. Grave and b1b have to verify that the photos are actually of them to @Tyler and after having provided the evidence that it's actually them Gun only gets 1 month ban for both instances.

Dank - posts photo of Grave, gets one fucking week ban courtesy of @Tyler because he had already got a month for something else, and when the other month ban gets overturned Dank is still only banned for a week?

What the hell is this inconsistency. I get it that you guys put a clause that you can do whatever the fuck you want for however long but that doesn't actually mean you should. Then I message moderators and @video about it and none of them care to take a look at all this bullshit. How can any of this be justified?

And at the same time there's even inconsistencies in the replies staff gave on all the bans. It's like they don't even know their own rules.

@Island bans grave for a month, and then says I won't receive a forum ban since it's before no tolerance ruleset. What does that even mean? If it was a typo and he meant I wouldn't be banned on Discord I was.
@Tyler bans Dank for the old rule, quotes it, where it specifically says for 2nd offence it's a 1 month ban, doesn't say how long he extends it or reasoning for not following guidelines. If it was later switched to 1st offense if other got overruled then whatever but Tyler knew this was second offence within like a week and instead of increasing the ban time he decreased it, so the complete opposite of the guideline.
@Island bans Gohan, ignoring it was his second offense regarding the same thing after he was told multiple times to remove photos he didn't remove to this day.
@Tyler bans gun on a second report as well quoting the same rule he elected to follow one week for whatever reason above on Dank, but in this case he just makes up his own shit and stacks two 1 month bans into one month ban? Or instead of one month and one week like Dank he just doesn't do anything.


You're basically encouraging people to get the most bang for their buck and release the info of as many people as many times, and as clumped together as possible to get one short ban versus longer for causing more harm as the rule was intended.

Someone posts multiple pictures of multiple people, gets 1 month.
Someone posts one photo of one person, gets 1 month.
Someone leaks someone's photo after allegedly leaking someone else's personal info, gets 1 extra week.
Someone posts pictures, never removes them, gets 1 month then 1 month, and still doesn't have to remove them and staff doesn't remove them.

All I'm going to say is I can see the inconsistency and something needs to be fixed if everything @Grave is saying is true. I don't get into the whole sythe drama stuff but from the outside looking in it looks pretty favorable with the bans. If you have rules and regulations you have to be consistent with them all around the board.

my suggestion is that we have amnesty so I can admit to my numerous off site scams performed in 2008

At the time you both reported each other (you guys really need to work it out on your own time), it was under the old ruleset of 1 month bans. (you both even complained about the pictures you each posted being very old) @Grave and @Gohan should receive 1 month ban increments.

Not going to lie, when I got banned for helping @StickTalk and his scam report it was for 1 month due to "posting in disputes so many times" people like gun do it, it's completely fine.

HOWEVER I was told by a little birdy, cant remember who and tbh cant be bothered to dig around, but that "his infractions reset after the 4'th warning" meaning he would only receive a first time infraction instead of a further 1 month or more.

I don't see how it's logical to think like that, as if i'm going to post in a dispute again i'll be banned for whatever duration again, and someone who has done it at least 7-8 times now, should be perm banned.

For the dank incident I was approached by a admin before adding time onto this ban.

The admin in question made the decision that the first ban was not warranted and that dank should recieve a two week (one already been served)

Anytime I ban Gun I get approved/council from a global+ this is due to the fact that Gun and I have a history together and he has released my personal information on many a occasion. I am also in the same boat that due to the large amount of offences he should be permed but its not my decision to make and if I did do so on his next offence it would just get overturned.

Like do you even read what you type? When you quoted the rule on the report, you left out all the guideline/terms. You even mention it's the old rule, but on my first offense you handed a 1 month ban? What you're quoting specifically says 1 week on the guideline. You're also ignoring all the other difference/issues. Did you even verify with Gohan that it was really a photo of him like Tyler verified with me on my report against Gun, or can anyone post a pick of any random cock and someone gets them banned by claiming it's theirs? There was absolutely no identifying information in that photo.

What the hell does this even mean? I asked you in private message and you said you meant that you meant no ban from the Discord, yet I was banned from the Discord. But anyway, I still don't even understand this rule as it's not mentioned anywhere in the rule.

You quoted two sets of rules/guidelines here, the first part says one month ban and then the second part has 1 week to 3 month for different offenses.

After specifically quoting this, you say that Gohan and Grave should both have got 1 month ban? What logic are you using? This is just proving my point, you're not actually using any. Multiple offenses of multiple photos posted and multiple requests to remove them ignored, versus one photo with no request to remove it and no proof it was his photo, and you say both should get 1 month. Like you're quoting second offense 1 month for Gohan then you're quoting 1 month Sythe forum rules for my first offense instead of 1 week? What?

 

@Grave i mean, by technical terms, all decisions are up to the staff member handling the case. instead of a perm ban, i gave you 1 month as a 'warning' per say. (gave you a little grace time as the rules was introduced earlier that day i believe). Graciously in pm, you accepted it with sheer excitement. The new rules of zero tolerance were already in play.

As far as you being banned from discord, you are not permanently banned from it? you were kicked during your 1 month ban but not forum banned. You are still in the discord to this day. Meanwhile, those other users are indeed banned permanently due to the amount of offenses.

so basically, you were given a chance. Instead of appreciating the chance given, you are here complaining that you werent banned along with the others. you need to relax instead of being bus 2.0

No offense to anyone, I think rules should be a little stricter on posting personal info. 1 week or 1 month is not enough imo. That’s my input, not taking any sides. I believe it’s not the admins fault since they are just following the ban lengths in the TOS

 

I see post that say Gun not perm ban since he owe many people, I ask a few user and confirm gun owe other user money one of my friend...

I can see how issue happen here, staff make decision behind scene and other user are upset to not know as is private sometime. I agree should be same rule no favoritism, but at end of day staff decide for all reason consider. Maybe more transparent with decision perhaps?

This is why I recommend in suggestion form enforce rule more, If debt is owe sometime can be tricky, I see few suggestion post in suggestion form can help stop these type of issue.

Sad to say at end of day someone always will not be happy and want rule change. Never end cycle

 

Gun was perm banned recently for doxing , it has nothing to do with debt you're probably looking at old threads

 

I believe he's talking about an incident before Gun doxxing in the Discord.
