Custom Titles For Guru's (or people here over 1 year)

I think that if you have A) Spent time enough to contribute to sythe (to have over 1k (1000) posts and B) Not scammed any so you wont get banned from sythe, that you deserve more than just a rank. I do agree that sythe needs dontations to keep going and they need perks, but if you dont add anything special for your long-time members (lets say over 1 year) or high contributing members then you lose some. Everyday i see more and more long time Sythers either leaving or getting bored and getting banned.....

Good suggestion but it depends really on what the admins think so I dont get much say cos Ive only been here like 4-5 months so far

 

If you've been a good member, done your duties, never betrayed someone, are well liked, and active in the irc, you can easily bug an admin to change it for you.

It's normally frowned upon, but what's a favor amongst friends?

That's why you gotta know who to ask .

For instance, I had pmed Matthew last year a request for a new user title, and a post count reset. I had also stated that it was not urgent, simply a request to be done when and if he felt like it.

Because of my kindness, and my history on the forums, he did so.

Not sayin you should do that, but you just gotta know what to say .

That's a very good idea. But I don't like the fact of "kissing ass to a admin" for something. Well, I don't think you guys would call it that.

I think the current ones are fine, if you 'need' one, just get friendly with an admin.

I agree with Fin, most people are highly active and highly trusted too.

I also think your just requesting this because you are a Guru with 1,000 posts right now but if you were anything like an active member you will not have the same opinion.

 

Thats true, post count does not mean anything, some people have about 500 posts within the first week of joining (posting random rubbish on subjects such as video's and pking)

If your a helpful, kind and respected member of sythe then you should be able to get one.

And to be honest, just because you have a lot of posts and/or have been here for over a year doesn't really make you a vital part of the community. I know a few people off the top of my head with quite a few posts, have been here for a while, and I REALLY wouldn't consider them a "vital" part of the community.

I'll have to go with everyone else and say no.

I've now changed my opinion that it isnt going to happen really as it sounds right that people just spam and finn sounded like he had the most idea of what is true really so I agree with finn

I had a user title, but it was removed because I have to have the 'USER EDUCATION TEAM MEMBER'.

But, no, fuck the idea of having the user title. If you want a user title, go donate like 100m to sythe and get any user title you want.
