    What do you think of this?

    Have been following a tutorial and came out with something disappointing so I decided to follow it again and alter it a fair amount.

    I personally think it's not too bad but I'm not really fond of the text or render (the text kept screwing up for me so I settled with that).

    Criticism? Photoshop tips in general would be great also. :love:

    I am actually a fan of it. You are right about the text it really does stand out. It also shouldn't be white.
    I like the render though it does fit with your background and its at a suitable spot.
    Nice work. :)

    Thanks a lot, I appreciate the comment. I've edited it (look at my signature) and I think the text has slightly improved.

    Yeah the text is a bit off.

    Maybe make the background all one layer, duplicate it.

    Ok now:

    With that duplicated layer place it above your text layer.
    Hold alt and click in the middle of the text and duplicated layer (on the layer panel)

    Duplicated
    <click>
    Text

    this should make the text have the duplicated layer as an overlay in the text.

    You can then play from there, such as opacity.
    Making the same text layer without the duplicated layer/background as an overlay.
