Team builder

So far I fucking love it but there is 1 problem

for example

>you make a team
>player 1 joins
>player 1 leaves
>player 2 joins
>player 3 joins
>30 seconds pass
>player 2 leaves
>player 3 leaves
>player 4 joins
>player 4 leaves

etc etc

people just don't have the attention span to wait 2 minutes.

 

I remember mentioning something like this before I even knew it was being developed.

I really really like the concept but I agree the queue times are a bit ridiculous. I spent 20 minutes earlier trying to build a team and people kept leaving.

 

I was waiting 15 minutes for 1 player to join, so i joint a new lobby, it was full straight away >.<

 

I'm not a fan of it at all, honestly - there's no accounting for skill and/or trolling, so every game I've played has just been a joke. It's a good concept, though.

 

I don't like the wait.

 

Yeah, still surely better than being matched with totally random people, takes even less account of what you actually want. This way you can at least choose your team comp as well as queue for the role that you want.

Like I said my main issue with this is queue times. Idk, maybe I'd get into a queue faster if I tried joining a team. Starting a team though? Took 20 minutes and still couldn't fill a roster, too ridiculous. Maybe that will settle though as time goes on and people are less curious about creating teams?

 

I don't like the wait, and the fact there's no thought into team comps. I usually make my pick, whatever role that may be, based on the other picks my team has made. With team builder its all blind and random. Not a fan.

 

I'm also confused about exactly how matchmaking works. I was watching RF Legendary's stream where he was trying to assemble a team, started a game of my own 5 minutes later, and found all of the players I needed while he was still waiting.

I think it might have something to do with the number of people on your team - I invited a friend, so my starting lobby was 2 people instead of 1, and I think that helped me get a team more quickly.

 

I'm actually a fan of team builder in theory. I think Riot has a lot of work to do in putting it into practice, though.

Queues seem excessively long and clunky (which may simply be because it is still in beta), but the leaving players in queues needs to be addressed.

 

this. i was excited to see it come, then once it arrived i was disappointed. i dont really know why, but it just feels like it takes too long, and it's also extremely stupid to have you autolock your champ/runes/masteries before looking at your team comp.

Yeah i have also noticed this, but its progress none the less, def still needs changes though
