Do you think people over use curse words.

There are many diffrent curse words. I think people use them way to much. They over use them and wear them out. Saying "Shit, where are my car keys!" does not have as much of an effect on people now as it would if you said it back about 100 years. Also maybe it just the fact that when your using the computer and you have a disagreement with another person your chances of using obcenities are high. I personally do not like to curse much because I do not see the meaning. Now to the point of the Thread. What do YOU think about this? Please submit your vote and voice your opinions!

 

i dont think people really can "over use" them consider they have the right to speach and the right to expression and mabye ones right to an opinion

I curse all the time. Itried to stop a couple years ago but w/e. Cursing is fine as long as you don't OD on it.

ex:

Yo fuck man that fucking fucker fucking fucked that fucking slutass bitch hoe.

I think our generation definitely overuses curse words.

There is absolutely no reason you need to add a curse word as an adjective for everything. We can't really help it though; for our generation, curse words have become a common part of our vocabulary, much like other insults, such as gay, etc.

Cursing is part of our daily lives, these words are to be found everywhere in our modern "pop-culture"

You read them in clothing, lyrics, and about every text book to be found.

These words are just part of our society which simply can't disappear.

In other words you can blame the media, or yourself for not having self control.

 

I don't think you can overuse words.
Because then we could say words like "the" and "I" are overused.
I cuss alot, but that's because of my upbringing.
My parents are very lax when it comes to discipline.

 

the point is we are living now, not back then. if we were living back then it wud be a different story, it depends on the type of person i'd say now days because everyone in 7th grade up swears constantly. i think its not "THAT" bad because its just a word, i dont take much note to it, but i do use the ocasional profanity when neccesary.

Gay is over used.

 

I don't think so, curse words are just words that are socially defined as bad, which doesn't necessarily mean they are. Since I don't think they're bad, I don't think they're overused anymore than a word that isn't considered a curse word by most.

 

I don't think they are overused, I just think the forms of expression are changing. Maybe in 20 years there will be totally different forms of cuss words.
