stupid CSGO fps drop reason...

How stupid is it that Steam itself get me lagging in csgo, dropping fps down to about 60 when I got this setup:

(CSGO is on SSD)




I've tried about everything like reinstalling Steam completely and change my settings in-game.
Also when I played on my Smurf with same settings it DIDN'T fps drop....
I cleared up my SSD so it got more space available and closed all unnecessary programs in Task manager.
Been playing with this for quite a while until today I got kinda mad about it and thought it might be my Steam account with about 650 active friends and 515 Games (only csgo installed on SSD).
Tried to go offline on friend list and it seems to be working. Now I've disabled this to make it run without lagging:


It's kinda a stupid reason to lag in games because you have a huge Steam account....

If anyone else with big a Steam account out there who also has fps drops, try do this or let me know if you got better solutions

 

I've found having too many items in the inventory can cause lag as well. I had to offload a BUNCH of stuff to an alt at one point when I finally figured out the issue.

 

I will get a smurf account and play more serious on it. I might also need another Steam account just to hold my items for sale lol and then have my main with many contacts

 

That sounds very odd to be honest, have you contacted Steam Support?

 

I think it's a known issue. I now got over 700 friends, now the client lag even more often. Only on my main, not on my alt. Because my alt doesn't have that many friends and such.
