So I Was Just About To Sell Some RSGP AND THEN...

Well, not too long ago I Decided to sell rsgp to somebody that i had on my msn friends list, I must have added him/ or he added me a while ago on this website, but anyway he found out that I was selling RSGP and wanted to buy 1m..

Now usually i dont sell anything less than 10m, But i was feeling generous..Im new to selling RSGP, and that explains why as of yet i havent posted a thread on the forums selling GP..


But anyway, we meet up in lumby and he sends my 1$ via paypal as a gift!

moments after i trade him the 1m for 1$, i find hes opened a dispute saying that i had sold him a CD, and that the he was wondering where it was and wanted a REFUND!..


I have specifically said in my paypal response how I had indeed traded him RSGP, virtual gold..
The case is going to be reviewed by paypal soon..

MY QUESTION TO YOU IS..
Where Do I stand?
I know its only 1$, but if i decided to sell gold in the future, i need some assurity....

Provide evidence (pictures) and have him next time include a note with payment that he is buying a virtual item and will not get a refund. Also never deal with new members no matter how many "vouches they have" especially if they've recently joined because they are probably returning scammers. Sell to trusted buyers, there are some mod buyers who will pay a little less but you can trust them.

 

I'm not that good with PayPal , it never seems to suit me. At least it's only a dollar, you can learn from simple little things like this, I would recommend looking into a player auctions account, because I've heard they're secure.

 

That's just ridiculous, that guy is a joke for scamming just 1m! xD

But yeah, picture proof of it should win you the dispute

 

If it's a "I didn't receive my items" dispute, then you'll win it. If it's an "Unauthorized Transaction" dispute, you'll lose it if he knew what he was doing.

 

I recently got scammed for $22 via PP for an unauthorized transaction dispute.

Worst case scenario: $1 isn't much, just provide as much evidence as you can, to link him to his PP account. Only include relevant pictures.

 

I think it was a I didnt receive my items Dispute, but im not sure I'll win, because thing is he says that it was a physical item ie. A CD, therefore wont i need to provide tracking?
if i dont have any tracking then its technically his word over mine, i didnt take any screen shots or anything and i didnt say it was non refundable..

Please shed some more light on this matter, i can tell your experienced

Trouble is, i didnt take any pictures!
and even if i was to take screen shots of the trade i doubt paypal will have a clue about anything to do with RUNESCAPE, let alone TRADING!!

 

Great way to learn that direct paypal is never safe

 

Just tell paypal it was for virtual gold, and you didn't bother taking pictures.. it's only one dollar!

Anyways... Just deal with player auctions next time, or don't accept paypal

 

i sold some gold to a guy for $14 through paypal like 3 months ago. he filed a dispute like 1 month later and i got an email like 2 weeks ago saying i won the dispute! i was ecstatic =P

 

Paypal recently asked me for a tracking number. which i just randomly typed numbers in for...

What info did you include in your dispute?
Did you have pictures? if so what sorta pictures, please be specific.!

Just tell paypal that it was a trade for virtual goods.. im pretty sure they don't cover that, and you will win the dispute.

 

i just said it was for runescape gold and that i traded the gold right after the payment was recieved

 

Never do direct Paypal, lol... Because they can easily dispute it anytime

2. screenshots of your trade if you got a pm on sythe thats even better, paypal doesn't like virtual trades so they will deny him.
