What are y'alls general opinions on the assassin changes?

And the general gameplay changes such as the plants?

My Opinion:
I personally dislike the assassin updates. It will bring back play in the professional leagues and high elo games since the assassins feel much more relevant. However, they will be too OP in lower elo gameplay where people can't properly group, defend, and avoid these high burst/mobility champions.

I also dislike the plant updates but I think things like this are necessary. Riot said they wanted to remove RNG from the game and maybe even do away with crit. But then release random drake types and now random plants? They need to find a way to keep the game fresh and interesting without adding more RNG.

 

Not a fan of the plants. Not sure about the rest as yet.

Plants are dumb, the rest of the jungle changes are kinda ehh. I don't like how Riot is trying to force a specific jungle path, it makes it so much more predictable to play against and works to prevent outplaying the enemy jungler early.

 

Assassin update adds new mechanics to the game, so theres that, pretty cool.

plants are ok, i tried it on the pbe and holy shit are they annoying, but the one that blasts you is actually pretty cool.

 

I dislike pretty much all the jungle changes. Not a fan of removing/reducing strategy and pathing possibilities (As an Evelynn main I start in the enemy jungle 9/10 of my games). Plants are going to be annoying as well but the worst part is that the spawn times are increasing from ~100 to ~150s from what I read which will screw over a bunch of junglers like Shyvana.

Assassin update I'm a little disappointed in because they look as if they'll still feel very imbalanced in lower elos. The item changes look fine but I'm really going to miss pink wards against stealth champs.

 

Agree. I think they are redoing invisible champions though, right? Like invisible Rengar and Twitch will work like the current Evelynn.

 

Depends on the champ. Khazix, Wukong & Shaco won't be seen by wards anymore during their stealth.

 

I like the plants, it adds some more difficulty (or strategy) to the game.

I dislike the new jungle mobs, they feel kind of unnatural. Especially the 6 or 8 ghosts or w/e who spawn outside of their camp, looks kinda buggy.

And about the assassins, well... Just another update on other champs. Buffs/nerfs can't really harm since Riot is just balancing out the champions so it's a good thing.

pretty much this the jungle monsters are my only problem as well as an adc you can just solo a camp now without any lifesteal early game

 

Nice man I didnt know this. Might wanna give adc in the jungle a try again.

 

I didnt mean like that I just meant that champs without lifesteal/jungle items cant take camps early anymore you dont need too try be smart lmfao

That's always the issue in lower elo.. If you find a champ that is completely broken, take advantage of it. A lot of people tend to just main one lane though, then master the rest as they go.

 

Plants still pointless.
