Digital Purchase

This is a noob question and can be answered quickly.

When I bought a retail version of the first WoW I got a free month.

If I buy Burning crusade but do it digitally like the offer on the site will I get a free month? Or do I get Burning crusade expansion and then have to pay for a month?

 

Nope, you only get 1 free month from the first one ( Vanila .) The next two xpacs does not come with a free month.

 

Well that kind of sucks :/

 

I believe the battle chest (Vanilla and BC) include two free months of play time.

Edit: Sorry, re-read your post and saw that you already have Vanilla. Not sure how I missed that the first time.

 

Battle chest gives you 1 month of WoW for free but you get vanilla and BC for about 40 usd. If you buy it from blizzard store it's 50 usd i would have to recommend buying them fro a local game stop or game store for cheap.

 

It's so expensive in the US! Over here in the UK it's £15 for the Battle Chest and £20 for WoTLK... :/

Yes it is for the whole package it would cost you about 120 usd to get all the parts to WoW from the blizz store.

 

Actually you get it when you pay for subscription for the first time. You get a free month and then the month you paid for.

 

No. And it's even more expensive.

Just buy the battle chest, so you get Vanilla WoW, Burning Crusade, and 1-month of membership free. You'll then be able to choose from other payment methods for applying membership, but I don't think that will so much be a problem.

Also, if you're planning on buying the game, I'd also suggest investing in recruit-a-friend. Not only will the one who recruited you get a free month of membership, but there are also other rewards involved, such as an exclusive new mount and greater experience gain.
