ORLANDO, Fla.-- Disguised in sunglasses and a baseball cap, Casey Anthony was deposed Saturday for a civil lawsuit that accuses her of ruining another woman's reputation.

Attorneys for Zenaida Gonzalez used videoconferencing to question Anthony, who was at an undisclosed location in Florida.

John Morgan, who is representing Gonzalez, said he asked Anthony about the disappearance of her 2-year-old daughter, Caylee. Anthony told detectives in 2008 that Caylee had been kidnapped by a nanny named Zenaida Gonzalez.

Detectives said no such baby sitter existed. Morgan's client, who has the same name as the fictional baby sitter, has sued Anthony, claiming her reputation was ruined.

Anthony answered few questions and her attorney, Charles Greene, repeatedly invoked the Fifth Amendment, Morgan said.

"I think there were times where some of the questions irritated her," Morgan said, pointing to questions about her mother and father, and her brother's testimony.

Morgan said Anthony tried to disguise herself by wearing a Philadelphia Phillies baseball cap and long, thick black hair that appeared to be from a wig. She also wore a large pair of Dolce and Gabbana sunglasses, Morgan said.

He described her as "not happy to be there."

A message left for Greene by The Associated Press on Saturday after the deposition was not immediately returned.

Anthony was acquitted of killing Caylee and released from jail in July. She is now serving probation on an unrelated charge at an undisclosed location in Florida.

Is there any solid proof such as video or picture evidence? No.

I see no reason to declare her guilty.

first of all i live in florida and i had to deal with this shit for the past 2 years. If she didnt kill her baby herself she killed her from neglect.... She didnt report the baby missing for a month. the cunt deserves to rot in hell.I think florida fucked this up 6 ways from sunday. the jury had to be fing ignorant i mean this is as bad as OJ and every1 knows the glove fit...

I think it is likely that she killed her daughter, but the prosecutions whole case is based on 100% circumstantial evidence which makes it very difficult to convince a jury of a person's guilt. With that being said, I think it is also unfair to send a person away for the rest of their lives based purely on circumstantial evidence, so it is not surprising that she got off based on the evidence that was presented.

I don't know a whole lot about this case and should probably read up on it more, but it seems like the media and prosecution played peoples emotions by completely demonizing Casey Anthony and painting this picture of a crazy party animal and a horrid mother, and people almost immediately jumped on the "Casey Anthony killed her daughter" bandwagon based on the image that was portrayed. Something is very wrong about her daughter's death, and about her behaviour and general attitude towards the whole thing. She does not seem to be behaving like a grieving mother to me.. Yet I know alot of people just hear "Casey Anthony killed her daughter", and immediately make up their minds that she is a murderer and a horrible mother based on the media speculation. Very interesting case though..

I hope that more evidence is collected down the road and that justice can fully be served in this case, because what happened to that little girl is just so horrible. Somebody should have to pay for that crime.

 

The reason i say that is because there was enough evidence to make me think she's guilty.

Well this is a really old debate, but I had been following the case since 08, and when it came time for her final court hearings, I watched every second of them. I do think that she did it, and by observing her, her lawyers, and her parent's expressions the entire time, its quite obvious they know too. Although the evidence wasn't sufficient, she did it. There is no doubt in my mind that she didn't, I mean its not possible for anyone else to have done it. All the evidence that they do have points to casey, casey lied about everything, and Casey was the last one with Caylee. Unless of course caylee duck taped her own mouth and walked over to the swamp, but thats pretty unlikely.

 

This, I live in Florida as well.

Everyone was extremely interested and depressed regarding this case, and then pissed off when she was let "off the hook". Everyone hates Casey Anthony, yet she has not been proven guilty.

I do agree that this woman Zeneilda has a right to press charges for what Anthony stated.

 

Personally, I think that she did it. Unfortunately, even if we do find new evidence, we couldn't re-try her for murder, so sadly she wouldn't spend half of the time in jail that she should.. Child killer..

 

She won't be going to prison for murder of her daughter. There's some law about double jeopardy, you can't be trailed for the same thing twice. I think she did it, but no one can prove it and it's too late if some one did find evidence.

 

I can only hope that she is found by someone or a group of people who are angry over it all and unstable enough to let it become physical. A life for a life.

 

I'm nearly 100% positive she's guilty but as the evidence is all circumstantial it really holds no merit as far as legally declaring someone guilty goes.

 

Not reporting your own child missing after 29+ days makes it really hard to believe that she is innocent....
