CPU problems?

So I just got this new laptop that my college gave us for free. Apparently we have to use it as our computer while at college. SO, here I am, trying to run 5-bots at once on this laptop and GUESS WHAT. It can't run more than 2 at a time.

Here's my laptop's specs:

NVIDIA N12P-GV Optimus graphics with 1GB DDR3 VRAM
Intel 2nd generation Duo Core i5-2520, 2.5GHz processor
4GB memory (2x2GB DIMMs)
320GB SATA HD 7200 RPM w/ Active Protection System


Its a Lenovo Thinkpad T520.

This being said, can I do anything with RSbuddy or my laptop to make it run more efficently so I can run at least 3-4 bots? I mean, running just 2 at a time is just a waste of effort.

 

an intel i5 and 4 gigs of ram should be able to atleast do 5... there might b a prob with ur comp

 

See that's what I thought. I was pretty hyped about how the laptop wasn't a total piece of crap. But then I open up RSBuddy and WHAM, load up any more than 2 bots at once and it lags so much it freezes.

 

Anyone else have an opinion on the matter?

I'd ask for a new one all though they'll say you caused it and won't give you another one. Also in rsbuddy make sure you turn in use less CPU see if that helps

If all else fails go buy new memory.

Well I did click use less CPU and apparently we aren't allowed to modify our laptops WHATSOEVER, not even put a sticker on it nonetheless change the memory.

But when I get the chance I suppose I'll go to the technicians and ask, but what should I say? I don't want to sound like a loser and say I'm trying to play on 6 different MMORPG accounts at once, fix your shit.

 

Lol just tell them the computer seems slower than what it was when you got it.

Obviously clean it before you talk to them.

Funny you mention that. Besides wiping the browser history and deleting/moving any saved stuff I don't want them to see, do you think they would go out of their way to check if I'm doing anything/going on anything I shouldn't?

Didn't help that much tbqh, but thanks. Each bot I use still takes up 25-40% of my CPU, leaving me unable to run more than 2 bots.

 

Oh, and here's something I just found. My computer says although I have 4 gigs of ram, only 2.9 gigs are available for use.

 

Your video card takes up a GB so... yeah.

Also, you're retarded for using a laptop for anything except business or school.

Well there's no point in botting if you can't run at least 3 or 4. Making 70k-100k an hour per bot is only good if you run 4 at a time.

 

Well if you would have read the thread title you would have seen that I got it for college and its the only one we're allowed to use.

 

Do you have a virus scanner like Nortan or anything running? They use alot of cpu.

Any other programs running in the background using cpu?


Also buy a mouse, and stop the touchpad mouse program, will save you cpu everytime you move your mouse (2-10%).

Should be able to get 3, which is pretty decent for a laptop.

 

Trying running on diff clients and not all at once, i noticed mine had issues with same client bots, plus i think rsbuddy is having issues with training cpu
