The questions were:

1.) What's the best way to increase CP of Pokemon, I mean like do you evolve/transfer, I read that when the % bar reaches full you should just evolve it, but if it's low CP, you transfer? When do you actually hit evolve, is it the highest CP out of all the duplicate Pokemons you do it to?

2.) When do you press power up (assuming it's after evolving), is it useful at all at higher CP? Does the % bar matter here?

3.) How do you find out which is the strongest type of Pokemon, because Pokemons can have different abilities within the same type.

4.) What does transferring do, I know it gives candy, but what's the use in it, I'm assuming it's for low CP Pokemons to give candy?

 

1. The best way to increase CP (and only way) is to use stardust on it. The bar is essentially the potential for growth that pokemon has. If it's 500 CP and nearly at the end of that bar, then it wont reach 1000 for a while. However, if it's at 500 CP and is only halfway with the bar then you can use stardust to likely get it past 1000. I would hold onto your stardust until you find strong pokemon in the wild.

Example: You catch a 500 caterpie and use 10k stardust to get it to 1000. Tomorrow you find a 900 caterpie in the wild, and only have to use 1k stardust to get it to 1000. Evolve the highest CP of pokemon you have duplicates, yes

2. Not sure what you're asking here, but yes the pokemon is more useful at a higher CP because it's more powerful

3. The strongest pokemon will vary from trainer to trainer as some trainers might need grass types VS others who need fire types. Depending on what is common in your area, some pokemon types will be more valuable. For example, in my area fire is very common, so water is quite powerful. Water is also pretty common because of vaporeons, so electric is very powerful as well. We have almost no electric pokemon in our area. On top of that, the same exact pokemon can differ because of their skill sets. A pigeot with hurricane > a pigeot with air cutter because hurricane does much more damage

4. Transferring releases the pokemon and gives you one candy in return. It's purpose is to 1) clear room in your pokemon bag and 2) allow you to benefit from catching lower level CPs and using them to in turn evolve a higher CP duplicate of that pokemon

Would you recommend powering up at all?

 

I wouldn't suggest powering up until you're like lvl 20+ , when you get to 20+ the pokemon you find are higher cp, so if you save all ur candy/stardust till that point it'll be more worth powering up the ones you find at that point

 

I am level 22 atm, but was wondering if I should splash out Stardust now on high CP evolved Pokemons.

 

Don't power them up unless there like snorlax or something till your level 30 thats when pokemon reach the CP cap
