Digital Marketing for Runescape related businesses #1

Hi everyone , I'm Ji, the CEO of GS Social Marketing. I own a digital marketing agency based in London, Office in White city, currently a team of 5 and we work with many businesses(client list on website) to help them elevate their brand and increase their sales through the use of digital marketing. I have helped many businesses such as Fitness fusions in Clapham, Dr hala health and beauty clinic in Chelsea and HGV Recruitment in North London get a 7-8X return on their investment with advertising.

As an ex-hardcore runescape player/gold seller I find it weird that many runescape gold sellers are neglecting social media and digital marketing altogether and the ones that do use it are only scratching the surface of whats possible so I've decided to create a quick thread to educate the community.

Since I want to keep this short, I'll just dive straight into the main bits.

Facebook ads -
As many of you know, facebook ads is one of the best, if not the best way to advertise your business to as many people as you want(depending on your budget) that have explicitly shown an interest in what you have to offer. I will go into a few tools and strategies that will help you get the most out of the platform.

Re-targeting: This may be one of the best strategies out there to date to increase your revenue instantly. The reason this is so effective is because the people who will see your ad will already be a warm or hot lead that have already interacted with your business in the past and a general rule in marketing is that the more people see your brand, the more they trust you. This will show your advertisements to everyone who has liked/interacted with your business and/or website(s). For example if someone visits your website then they will start to see your ads on facebook, instagram & messenger. (This is also possible with Google ads)

Conversion ads: This and lead gen ads are probably the 2 best facebook objectives currently for most niches. The reason a conversion ad is extremely effective is because facebook will show your ad to specific people that they know(based on data) will actually take the specified action you want. For example if you have an ad promoting RS 07 Gold, then facebook will select people that they think are most likely to become a buyer based on their data and based on my experience this ad usually gets you 7-10x your budget so if you spend $1000, you'll likely get $7000-$10000 in return and this doesn't even consider untracked results and the life time value of the customer once you start doing email marketing/SMS marketing and re-targeting to those who have purchased in the last which will result in an even greater ROI.

Lookalike audiences: This tool is very underrated, underused and most people don't even know it exists!!! It's very simple as the name suggests, facebook will let you upload a list of data that you may have, for example you can upload a list of 2000 high-quality runescape players that purchase gold regularly and facebook will use it's data science technology which is one of the best in the world to create a similar audience of people for you to advertise to.

Note: You have to install pixel into your website to run conversion/re-targeting ads(for website visits). Also, I do not recommend you go straight into facebook and start running these type of ads, it's recommended to build your brand first, run a few post engagement/video view ads and create a content marketing strategy first with email marketing included.
