    In your search to change your pesky .avi file into something supported by your bluray player you have probably come across tens of programs asking you to pay 6 dollars for a bunch of bs. Video file conversion is actually easily accomplished by free, though often hard to find, programs. One such program that I find especially useful is SuperC (http://www.erightsoft.com/S6Kg1.html download is at bottom of page) it has all kinds of options you can read about in the provided link!     Use Xilisoft Video Converter Ultimate for Mac OS, thats what i use, very good :)

    Or get WonTube Free Video Converter, also very handy!
