Connecting to psp online

Hi.
Could someone that's intelligent with psp online things help me out?
I've tried guides but it still wont connect me.
I've tried connecting to my router and it says something ;like the connection to the access opint could not be established.
And i try connecting to another place that does NOT have a password or anything and it says check security settings for the network and try again

Are you sure that your your router is wireless? That could be the reason behind why the connection cannot be established. If I can remember correctly all you need to do is go to network settings>scan for a network>your wireless network should pop up. Maybe you could try connecting the device manually to go online with.

Also for it not connecting to other routers, I'm not really sure. As long as it has no security then you should be able to connect. There is really no way to officially tell though, as I'm assuming that it's not your router.

 

yeah it's a wireless router because my dad's girlfriend has a laptop that connects to itt.
i do that but whenever i try connecting to a signal it just says the same thing and i don't connect to any of them with passwords as i don't know them ;p

 

Purple, is your wireless internet secured ?

If it IS then :

Make sure your psp is running off the same security type as your wireless internet

(see your router for what kind your running)

Because if its not running the same type of security, even with the password it wont be able to connect.
