Concussion :(

Hi there Just come from home from my hockey practise.
After almost one hour Practise i got hitted in the head by an alboe from a teammate...
I went unconscious, about 1 minute. I woke up and said i had severe headaches. My dad said'' No hospital, we've to wait hours to get in, They wil just say rest and no gaming, here, take a whiskey (joke)''
I came home took some pills and here i am.
I want to know more fact about concussions.
like:
How long will i have to rest.
How early can i Practise my elite hockey carrer again after the headache is gone.
TV / Computer / Pads effects ...

I Practise every day a week.

^^ That is very sensitive now when i have concussion 2... When i did that to a guy on the other team i just laughed and said dont tackle me, but then i understod that he did not listen, he was way out of earth that moment. But now i got it and feel bad for him lol.

 

I gave a friend a concussion during a football game. He said that he was blacking out biking home. When he went home he tried to sleep it off and almost when into a coma, the ambulance came and rushed him to an hospital a mile a way where they could wake him.

DO NOT SLEEP, if it's a serious pain and your having issues doing simple tasks get someone to take you to a doctor A$AP.

Concussion can cause bleeding between the scalp and the skull, which causes the lump you probably have right now, if your conditions deteriorate then get yourself straight to hospital - when serious enough it can cause death. I assume you're alright if it happened some time ago.

Wrap some ice or a bag of frozen vegetables in a cloth and lay your head against it, but don't stay alone for the next day or so afterwards.
